My name is Thanuja Atapattu, and I am a qualified Montessori and Pre-School teacher, receiving my degree at Open University of Sri Lanka. I've spent 15 years teaching at a private school in Sri Lanka and 5 years working as a lead teacher at a Montessori school in California, giving me 20 years of experience.
Any Montessori environment is always led by a qualified teacher, who develops a space and curriculum that follows the pedagogy and ideology developed by the Italian educator Maria Montessori. A Montessori childcare believes that developing adults create their sense of self by interacting with their environment.

This is one of the best preschools my son went to so far. Thanuja is a wonderful teacher and took care of my son very well. She was so kind and caring with my son and he always felt very warm and welcoming at this daycare! Thanuja is very detailed and takes time in giving feedback of how the kid was to each parent which is very rare with other preschools. Thank you so much Thanuja for eveything and you are just wonderful!! She is very flexible with the timings too and she teaches the kids to be friendly with eachother. She took super good care and attention with food for my son who is a picky eater

This preschool has been a complete blessing to my daughter and I. My daughter has completely transformed before eyes since she has been with Mrs. Thanuja.
Childcare is always one of the biggest struggles for moms, finding someone you can trust with your child. Mrs. Thanuja is sweetest and most compassionate person I have ever met. She truly cares about the children as if they were her own. She is also very flexible with schedules!

Our children attend Thanuja's preschool. I love how attentive she and her staff are with all the children. I like that she knows each child's personality. She makes a strong effort to know them as individuals. She does an excellent job of reporting how they did each day and telling me if there were any issues. She does crafts with the kids where they get a chance to get their creative juices flowing. There are plenty of toys inside and outside. They have outside play time on swings, slides, and other toys amongst a large grassy area. She actively potty trains which is a huge plus! All food is provided

Ms. Thanuja is a godsend. She is always so accoodating with my drop in requests, as I often have appointments to attend. Most importantly, my children are safe with her and she gives them the attention I would hope and expect. My kids have come home with little crafts and drawings. She feeds them healthy meals and snacks. Her home is always clean and very secure, even off of a busy street. Her backyard is HUGE (a rarity in these parts), and she lives right across the street from a fire station, which makes me feel great. She loves her children. They love her too.
