Services
Many parents wonder why restorative care is so important for their child. The health of your child's teeth goes deeper than cavity prevention. Teeth that are crooked or crowded make it difficult to floss and properly clean. This means that bacteria have an easier time sticking around, leading to tooth decay and gum disease.
Your children are special, and that calls for exceptional care. At Medina Pediatric Dentistry, we specialize in dental hygiene for kids. Many children's first experience with a dentist happens at an office focused on adult care. Dental care in this environment is often intimidating and frightening for kids.
Taking care of your teeth must begin at an early age. We're passionate about teaching the next generation how to properly care for their pearly whites. Starting at birth, every baby needs a 'medical home' for regular doctor visits to ensure they stay healthy and get their vaccinations on time. Many parents don't realize that babies also need a 'dental home' after their baby's first birthday - or even sooner if there is a problem.
Medina Pediatric Dentistry is proud to provide dental care in a caring and supportive environment for special needs patients and those with complex medical issues. Dr. James Kozik is uniquely qualified to provide special needs dentistry and superior dental treatments that these patients may not be able to receive in a traditional dental setting.
The best way to ensure the health of your child's teeth is to teach them great habits when they're young. Read on to learn about the oral care techniques that we promote. Your toothbrush is your most powerful weapon in the fight against plaque, but it's also important to brush your teeth properly to ensure you are getting the benefits from brushing.

The whole staff is very rude! Not to mention that both of my daughters are on the autism spectrum and the front desk laughed at my children when they were having a meltdown. The dentist and the staff would argue in front of patients and make us feel very uncomfortable. They cancelled our appointments and then said they can no longer see us because we have too many no call no shows which was a complete lie.

My sons were long time patients here. My oldest is 10 and we started bringing him at 3 yrs old then I had my second son whom became a patient as well . Over the years I have never found the voicemail option useful . I have called several times to schedule appointment and left messages NEVER A CALL BACK. We had an app in November we were unable to make the app . I called left a VM... of course no call back to reschedule. I called just the other day and they marked us as a no show and archived our files !!! The receptionist sounded young n rude!! Basically accused me of lying and saying I never left

Horrible staff!!!! Their front desk lady nakea is the most ghetto rude person! Does not care at all about your children. They would be better with new staff possibly! I would expect a place like this in the ghettos of Cleveland. Not Medina. Iv never seen a dentist office that was ran so unprofessional! A few of the staff was even walking around barefoot an all had no masks! Don’t bother bringing your children here. The doctor and the staff were arguing in front of all us! Very uncomfortable.

I have been taking both my kids who are 13 and 18 now for a couple years now. I thought they were okay, until I took my son to the orthodontist, where they found tons of cavities where the dentist didn't find them. And they weren't hidden they were on the very back of his front teeth. Receptionists, well at least one of them, is rude every time I call there. And now that my daughter turned 18 they won't even clean her teeth. As soon as they turn 18, they boot them out, and won't see them anymore. Which I do not understand. it's just a cleaning and you're still getting paid for the work they do

I had been taking my children to this practice for at least four years and normally everything has been great, but i will NEVER take my children to this practice again due to their lack of professionalism and doing their job correctly. My children needed dental surgeries which is costly, and my insurance had switched. I provided the forms needed for the insurance claim the day of the surgery, and was told they could not be filled out and returned until the end of the day. Weeks go on and NO ONE contacted me about these forms being filled out properly. Now, a few months later they "Never received

I hesitate to leave reviews like this, but after two visits here with my daughter, I feel I must. Please do not go here! My daughter needed four teeth removed for orthodontic purposes, and because of Covid, had to postpone with our original oral surgeon for two months. During those two months, her teeth shifted so much that we needed to have the teeth removed far sooner than the oral surgeon could have seen her. This office was the only place we could find who had availability, and given the emergent nature of our situation, I took my daughter there last week, after having been told that they could
