Amber has been with Utah Addiction Centers since 2019. She has a great passion for helping her community. Amber will invest her time and effort in assisting clients and their families to find answers in these very difficult and turbulent times. Amber understands what path to take for success and will see it through.
Neurofeedback, also called EEG Biofeedback, is a way to train brain function. During neurofeedback therapy, the brain learns to function more efficiently. Using advanced technology and software, our clinicians at Utah Addiction Centers use electroencephalogram (EEG) patterns to observe electrical currents of the brain in action.
EMDR, also known as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy, is used to relieve psychological distress. When a person is deeply affected by an event, the brain will have a hard time processing it. It is as if the brain becomes like a scratched DVD. It cannot move past that "scratch." Neither time nor wishing will fix it and can cause side effects in other aspects of life.
Some medications work great for some, and have zero or adverse reactions for others. We want to know which medications work best for our clients. In order to get the best medications prescribed, Utah Addiction Centers uses gene testing or "pharmacogenetics". Gene testing helps our doctors to understand what the best medications are for our clients by looking at our clients genome.
The Utah Addiction Centers has a long history of supporting and treating US military veterans and emergency responders. We value working with these individuals and consider it an honor to work with them. We contract with Operation Underground Railroad (O.U.R.) along with other agencies to ensure these heroes needs are met.

The staff are professional, experienced, kind and patient. You will be treated with respect from the first day. There are no levels, tiers or hierarchy programs imposed on clients allowing each individual to retain their dignity. They take you as you are, treat you like an adult and help irradicate the need to self medicate.

A wise man once said- "you get out what you put in" and I believe that. Furthermore- there are people, places, and things that either hinder or compel you to strive for your goal. UAC in all aspects compelled me to successful recovery. It has been almost 2 years since my time at UAC and I am eternally thankful for my time there. I was going to try to describe the complex-but-incredibly-effective treatment algorithm practiced at UAC but realized mere words would be inadequate. Suffice it to say if you go there, participate, do the work, look within and let the truth come out, you will thank your lucky stars you found your way here. I was able to draw a clear line between a violently abusive childhood and my adult addictions (plural). Then, with the help of UAC Group, Individual Therapy, EMDR and Neuro, I was able to sever the aforementioned line; freeing myself to choose a new, different way forward through recovery. Also

UAC has saved my life twice now. After 3 years of sobriety, I experienced the worst experience of my life (and that's saying something) which led me to suicidal ideation and relapse once again, they took me back, picked me back up and got me better.

My boyfriend recently graduated from this program. His stay was amazing and the staff went above and beyond to help him. It is obvious that they care about their clients and they’ve helped him in ways nobody ever could. They don’t just help with addiction but also the reason ‘why’ they turned to drugs/alcohol in the first place. They get to the root of the issue and start from there which has helped him tremendously. Thank you to all the staff at UAC for bending over backwards for your clients. Utah Addiction Centers is an incredible, one of a kind treatment center. They are staffed with friendly, down to earth, professional people who have your best interest in mind. I appreciated Darron's willingness to work with me and get me the help I needed. Jeremy, Mike and Kelci are amazing counselors who treat the individual not just the addiction. The addiction recovery program at UAC is amazing. The environment is warm and inviting. Seeing uncertainty and hopelessness change to confidence and promise, and what would have seemed like permanently damaged relationships mended through forgiveness, love and hard work. It's truly a miracle to see. I strongly recommend you come in for a visit and see for yourself. You can feel the difference the moment you walk in the door. There are a lot of recovery centers to choose from, make sure you consider UAC, and take the time to go in for a visit, and you'll see what I mean.

My husband recently completed the program at UAC! I had the opportunity to attend the family meetings and met some really great people there. I love that I was able to be a part of my husband's recovery! The entire staff are so amazing to work with. Jeremy and his team saved my husband's life! Darren took my husband in without even one second thought! The financial part doesn't even compare to what would have been had my husband continued to use! They are just great people and are willing to help regardless of current financial hardships! Thank You for giving us our life back!!
