Typically acupuncture does not hurt. The needles are hair-thin and flexible. If you do not like the regular size needle that I normally use, I have smaller ones that can be used instead. When I gently stimulate the needles they may produce a unique sensation that Oriental medicine calls de qi. Patients often describe de qi as a heavy, achy pressure, or spreading, traveling feeling.
Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine can be used for almost any symptom. Common conditions we use these modalities for are: acute or chronic pain of any kind, stress and anxiety, fatigue, common cold, headaches, digestive issues, female health problems, fertility, as an adjunct to IVF, sleep disturbances, to improve athletic performance and more.
Acupuncture is one of the oldest healing modalities, having been continually used for nearly 4,000 years. Today, Acupuncture is used by of the world's population as a primary healthcare modality. Acupuncture was introduced to the United States in 1971, and has been slowly growing in popularity since then.

I've been going to Krista for about a year now and am absolutely pleased with this practice. The services provided help tremendously with my ailments and Krista is always very consistent as well as knowledgeable on different healing techniques. I recommend anyone with any ailments, minor or chronic, to trust in the healing you can receive from acupuncture. Acupuncture has changed my life with my chronic illness, it has brought back so many of my normal functions, so I'm able to be somewhat normal again! Go see Krista, you will not regret it.

I am so happy I found Krista at Reno Acupuncture. After struggling with tendinitis for the better part of 5 months and not seeing any results from other modalities, I decided to try acupuncture. Long story short, after three sessions, I have noticed a decrease in pain while recovering some of my strength and range of motion.

I highly recommend Krista at Reno Acupuncture. She is an amazing practitioner, I only wish I had found her sooner!

Cliff Notes version: Krista is an excellent acupuncturist and an amazing human, and you should stop reading this, book an appointment, then ask her if she can help with whatever it is that inspired you to look up acupuncture on Yelp (the answer is almost definitely yes).

Long version: I've received treatments from Krista off and on for about five years now, and trust her implicitly. She is bright, relentless in her commitment to her patients' well-being, and singularly skillful in her craft. All of these things are necessary to being a good practitioner, and she is that and more. She
