True Nail Spa

I decided to ignore the reviews and get my nails done here. It was not so bad. Some of the staff are rude but I’ve never had one attend to me.
I’ll advise you just go here for simple nail styles or just doing something simple on your natural nails. Also, make sure you have an appointment before you go in as it reduces your wait time.
The wax/massage room has dirty sheets.

Before Covid the standards for customer service were top notch. Depending on the technician the service can vary but generally had been good. The major need for improvement is effective managing of scheduling appointments versus walk ins. This lack of coordination has caused misunderstandings and feeling of disrespect with customers. Dec 31 I signed in as a walk in, I was next in line. Kelly took the walk-in before me. The next technician said she would be with me in a minute. Instead she took a gentlemen who said he had an appointment with Kelly - either the customer was late or Kelly forgot

They only care about their white clients. They have a makeshift waiting list and let anyone white skip the line. They're horrible. I won't be doing my nails here anymore. There are too many nail shops in the neighborhood to tolerate this treatment

First off I booked this appointment i line and I selected to go with Amy. When I got to the shop for my 11 appointment, i east told Amy is off. The lady explained that it doesn’t matter who your appointment is with. Whomever is available at that time will help the next customer.
That exchange alone had me all worked up because the information on their website is deceiving for new customers. Why list a technician who is not available that day?!
Then I was serviced by Lisa who did a horrible job. The right picture is what I asked for and the left is what I got. The job is sloppy. I have glue

Lori did my pedicure and I didn't notice she didn't scrub ANY of the dead skin off. She pressured me to get a different color than what I had selected. My gel manicure was a different color than what I selected in the color sample book This place used to be a nice nail salon 10 years ago. Now, I can't wait until they shut down. THE WORST.

They don't respect online appointments and only about 50% of the people actually know how to do nails properly. Do your research and find the right nail technician for you before you go

For regular mani/pedi and eyebrows, this place is okay (and that’s why they get two stars). But NEVER go here for acrylics. They don’t know how to shape nails at ALL. I showed the woman a picture of the nails I wanted and she said she could do it. I wouldn’t be so upset if she had just said she couldn’t. I only came here because they open early and I had somewhere to go. Otherwise I would never (and moving forward WILL NEVER) come here for acrylics

Nails already lifting and only one week. Very rushed and didn’t prep my nails at all.

This place has limited technician, who can do everything. Natural nails, acrylic tips, eyebrows and anything fancy... The prices also are different per your technician. I'm still wondering about that one. They also do not have a customer friendly warm environment. Beware.., this was my experience with this Nail Salon.

I had a spa pedicure with Lori and it was one of the best pedis I've ever had. The massage was so good I almost fell asleep! My toes look great and feel even better.

Both my sister and I got French manicures but the quality varies between the two. I waited about 20minutes with my feet soaking in the foot soaker before I was attended to while my sister was attended to right away. Her French manicure was beautiful while mine had no arch to it. When asking for an arch they said they couldn't because my nail was too wide and it wouldn't look good. Not a great experience overall.

I would not recommend they are over priced and the quality is terrible same day a butterfly came off and broke nail. They wanted to charge me an additional $5 to fix it. It took the man 2 1/2 to do my fill in and he cut my finger. This is the worst treatment I’ve ever received getting my nails done. The gel polish was all over my fingers it looks lik a child did my nails. I will not be returning $65 for a fill in that looks like trash smh

I’ve come to this nail salon in the past and it’s always been pleasant, but this time around I was waiting for 10 minutes to get an eyebrow wax from which an employee saw my sister and I waiting and asked what we were in for. After about 5 additional minutes another employee comes in with another costumer and rudely tells me to get out of my chair. She never asked if I had been waiting (which I had). After standing in the hall for 2 minutes assessing what just happened with my sister, we decided to leave. I will definitely never come to this nail salon again.

I wish I would have listened to the reviews. Originally I had gotten a full set acrylics elsewhere, but today i wanted a fill in and this was the closest place. I asked them to fix ONE nail that had fallen off. Compared to the others that were done elsewhere, that ONE nail done at this salon is: shorter, crooked, half of it is glued onto my skin, I have gel nail polish on my fingers, you can tell where the acrylic nail begins because it’s bulky, it’s so poorly done compared to my other 9 (again, those were done elsewhere). THEN on top of that the tech put gel on my fingers when I asked for

First time & it was great. My feet omg was so bad. I felt bad & embarrassed. That man did an excellent job while fighting through my dogs. Thankful for that lol

This is by far the worst nail experience ever. I came this location yesterday for a pedicure and the work was so sloppy. The lady who did my nail painted all over my skin like a 5 yr old and to make matters even worse she didn't even up the paint job. When it came time to pay she took my card to the credit card machine and asked for a tip...absolutely not

There are barely any precautions taken other than a temperature check at the door. I went for a pedicure and it was terrible. The shape was awful and the lady was rushing like she had a flight to catch. Overall I would recommend everyone to stay away from True nail spa SAVE YOUR MONEY. There are plenty of salons nearby and Star Nails is great option, worth the money. I was being cheap

I recently relocated from NYC to DMV & I am desperate to find a great nail salon. I've only had my nails done here once & I won't go back. I spent $93 on an acrylic fill, gel color, pedicure w/ gel color. Within 4 days the 1st nail broke. I was inconvenienced to have to go back for the repair, and 2 days later a 2nd nail broke. As of last week a total of 5 nails have broken ( I wear long nails & I've been repairing them with crazy glue)
The problem is the acrylic they use is weak. When these nails were breaking it was not painful. Also the reception is cold, there was

I came in for a manicure and pedicure an hour before closing. The pedicure was done well with the manicure was a little bit sloppy. The gentleman I had was in a rush to go home with you understand but my appointment didn't run that much over closing time and their other customers and their.

I also brought my daughter in for a gel manicure. It was done okay, not 100% on point but it looked pretty good.

If I could I would give three and a half Stars.

All I wanted was for them to take off my powder acrylics I previously had and just put clear on them. If they didn't know how to do that properly, they should've just told me so I could go somewhere else. Now my hands look like this. In what world is this ok? See all the residue she left? And there is still blue on my left pinky and ring finger that she claimed "couldn't be taken off". Don't come here. If I wanted my hands to look like this, I would've took the acrylics off myself at home.

I came in on a Sunday afternoon without an appointment. I waited about 30 minutes in a pedicure chair, but I had a massage going and my feet in warm jets, so it wasn't a huge problem.

Once they got to me, the technician was attentive and thorough. I got the best pedicure massage of my life! My toes were flawless once finished.

I will be back, and I'll be recommending them to friends!

I give 5/5 bc I was down the street getting my car tuned up at Sears, they instantly sat me down for a pedicure and then after a gel mani decently priced and great service. Place was clean and efficient. The picture I posted is a week post gel mani. Still looks great

I am surprised to see all the negative reviews of this place; I have been coming here for 3 years now and I have yet to have a bad experience.
The place is always clean. They have a wide polish selection, decent prices, and I have never had to wait, even when they are very busy. They always do a thorough job on my nails and my gel manicure always lasts 2-3 weeks. I'm only deducting a star because some technicians do a better job and are friendlier than others, but such is life.

This has been my nail salon for 2 years now and I don't have many complaints.. once you find your nail tech it's smooth sailing .. Warning the do get extremely busy so try to go early in the day if possible or try to make an appointment.. see y'all in two weeks !!

Unprofessional and unfair. Simply put, my nails were manicured with a dipping powder color I did not select (not even in the same color family) and the owner only offered $5 off the service fee.

I selected a soft gray nail color, #66. The tech returned with the pot of powder and the top said #66. As she begin the application, however, the powder looked more pink than it should be. So I commented that it looked pink. She showed me the top and repeated that it was #66 but she would check after the first round of dipping. She also suggested that maybe the company had filled the pot with the wrong

Don't bother. Communication is always the key, the man was offended because I asked for a cut down and he's talking about shape.

Lack of communication results in bad service.

Also, don't talk about me in your language because you're mad.

If you can't effectively communicate, find another tech to help you understand what the client wants.

Smh.

DONT BOTHER. NAIL SALONE SHOULD BE A GETAWAY, not where you sit and get talked about in a different language making you uncomfortable.

My girlfriend visited True Nail Spa just about two weeks ago , off of my recommendation. I trusted that they would give quality Gel full set . But it honestly was the worst job she has ever had and that I have ever seen . I love to see my girlfriend with her nails done and her toes pedicured , especially when it is done very well . She had paid for Gel quality but as you can see from the pics ...... this is far from it . I as her boyfriend am upset with the results . I will not have her step foot in there again . Very disappointed. She will take her business elsewhere .

Would have rated 0 ....the absolutely worst experience I've had in a nail salon.,9/21/16 I came in to get a fill...decided to take off then get a manicure. Nail tech at station 19 kept pushing gel I said no. My "manicure" lasted all of 10 minutes and consisted of cool water, light filing and shaping. I asked if she was going to moisturize my hands she stated yes after they dry (never heard of that before). After drying she does NOT moisturize and says gel next time. I will NOT be back. Just because I choose to get a less expensive nail service does NOT mean that YOUR customer service
