In 2005, the physical therapist, social worker, and registered nurse who would eventually found Keen Home Care worked together in a skilled nursing facility. Every day, we saw the profound stress that seniors, disabled individuals, and their families were experiencing. We were saddened to see so many seniors being prematurely institutionalized because their families didn't know they had care options.
Horror stories of theft, neglect, and abuse abound. Machelle and Keen Home Care came to my rescue when I needed them the most. We used Keen to take care of our parents for a month on a 24 hour basis prior to moving them to assisted living. Machelle and her staff were highly recommended by the senior living community where they lived. Machelle came right out to assess their needs and worked out care plans for each of them. Her staff of caregivers is very professional and high quality. Machelle is easy to work with and wants to assure that patients and families are comfortable with the caregivers they are given, encouraging them to let her know if they have any preferences or issues.

This was a great service! My husband and I both had surgery and needed all the help we could get. They worked with us to get done what we needed, made sure house home was livable for us, took care of us and genuinely eased some of our stress, helping with the healing process. They were great and I couldn't recommend them any more emphatically. Anyone who asks if they needed home-care service, Keen will be the first word out of my mouth!

We used Keen to provide 24 hour care for a month for our parents. We felt caregiving staff were very professional and high quality. It is one of the more expensive agencies, but as a nurse, I believe you get what you pay for. We were very confident with them, even during a pandemic.

Keen has taken care of my grandparents for over 5 years and have maintained a good quality of life for them. It has been a long and solid relationship. At first it was in-home 24/7 service. When my grandfather passed last year my grandmother began to deteriorate more rapidly. We then put grandma in Keen's Rossmoor house. The Rossmoor house is not a "convalescent home," it has great vibes. There my grandma didn't feel alone and really began to improve, socializing with the 3 or 4 other older folks.

Machelle and her team are top notch and very experienced in the medical and home health field. I had to hire Machelle quickly to take care of a loved one as he was at UCI and wanted to go home to hospice care. The doctors would only discharge him to rehab and not to home as he desired. With Machelle's help, we were able to get him discharged to a local rehab facility that had an available bed and then soon thereafter to an at home hospice with Keen Homecare providing 24 hour care. This was crucial to ensure that my loved one was able to receive care at home and live out the end of his days

Everyone that I have interacted with at Keen Home Care has been so kind and helpful. They are professionals who care about seniors. Perfect example being during this last hot spell they delivered a fan to my dad to keep him cool! Now that is above and beyond! Generally speaking he has a cool breeze off the water but this heat was exceptional and I am so thankful to them for realizing this and taking action. Trying to do the right thing for elderly parents is not a easy task. With new laws and regulations, privacy law, financial constraints, doctors, emergency rooms, resident care facilities, hospitals, long term care, on and on. Keen Home care has been a fantastic resource to help guide our family.

I cannot say enough good things about Keen Home Care. They are just the absolute best resource for helping with an elderly family member or friend. They cared for a loved one of mine for over six years with the most dedicated staff and caregivers. Everything was taken care of, medicines, doctor visits, home cooking, shopping, etc. We got so attached to the caretakers. Machelle was the woman who we spoke with and she is so loving and truly caring of her clients, treats them like family.
