We rented a really nice house last week for 3 days. Location was great, house was nice, but one of the main reasons we rented this particular house was that it had a private pool. Sadly, the pool was not heated and was too cold to use it. I wish that the list of amenities would have mentioned that the pool was not heated as we would have saved about $500 for the week by picking a house without a pool.

We booked a stay at 845 park place.
The washer was broken (I even called before check in to confirm it was functioning since we needed it). There was water in the washer that stunk to high heaven the whole stay.
We booked this house for the washer and dryer (since we have kiddos and it was very necessary), as well as the heated pool and hot tub.
It was November, so in order to use the pool, we needed the heater.
On day 2 of our stay, we called to understand how to turn the pool heater on since we could not figure it out the night before. This is when they told us it was broken. We ran into

We stayed at the Smilin' Jack's condo at the Mustang Island Beach Club. Johnny made the process a breeze and was very helpful and professional. The unit is beautiful and well equipped. The beds are incredibly comfortable and the showers have high pressure and plenty of hot water.
Only complaint would be with the cleaning crew. The unit wasn't dirty by any means, but they need to pay closer attention to detail there was quite a bit of
fine sand on the sofa and floor, and the crevices between the night stands and beds looked like they hadn't seen a broom in a while.

We stayed at "Friday At Last" September 23rd through the 26th. They gave us the option to heat the pool for an extra charge of $100/day. This was our primary reason for choosing this property! Upon arriving at the property the pool was not heated. We contacted Silver Sands and were told that they would send someone out within the hour. No one ever came. We continued to reach out to Silver Sands each day and spoke to different people. Each person had a different excuse as to why no one came out. Finally, they told us that Silver Sands is not able to dispatch a pool tech on the weekends and that

Stayed at Coastal Soul with 14 total family members. There were some bumps along the reservation path but got all that worked out. This house is really nice and fairly new. It does not come with a golf cart so rent one from Silver Sands Cart Rental. You can not do without it!!! We cooked in every meal. The oven / stove was almost commercial grade and we used it..A lot. The closet's are all huge and big enough for a pack and play crib. Wifi worked great. Ice machine in bar worked well. We would love to stay there again! Thanks to the Silver Sands crew, Diane & Kastle for being patient with us!

We have stayed in the Port A area several times and utilized Silver Sands Rentals. I will never stay in a property managed by this company again. We were supposed to check in at 4 pm. When we received our emailed door code, we opened the door to a filthy, unclean rental. When I called and brought this to their attention, to their credit, they were apologetic and sent a cleaning crew. We were not able to check in, until almost 7pm. When we did get in, the house was cleaner but the the family room rug was so stained, we rolled it up so we wouldn’t have to walk on it! The downstairs bathroom shower

I rented a house on vrbo that stated the property was near downtown/marina area. As i arrived- the address was on the opposite limit of the city. I phone both the owner and vrbo and neither assumed responsibility. Additional to this- the property had pillows stained with blood, safety issues such as electrical outlets not in place properly, and doors that couldnt lock , as well as minor details such as toilet paper holders fallen apart that until the next say- with no previous notice- they came into the property while I was still there- to fix.

Where do I start, Lordy it was one of the worse experience.
First of all, once they get your money, good luck contacting anyone. We were supposed to get our code to enter our 3/3 bedroom private pool at 4pm, after a few calls, we received it after 6pm.
Tequila Sunrise was the condo we rented.
Standing at door, it looked amazing, but once we stepped into the house, the floors were so dirty, I looked for a broom and mop to clean it, but no luck with any cleaning supplies! As we sat to eat at the table, we saw roaches around the table, as well in our bathrooms. Blender wasn’t working so I went

The kitchen at Sandy Paws was a disgusting mess of grease splattered on the stovetop and microwave. Leftover food was in and around the sink. The beds were left unmade. The pillows in the bedrooms were left without pillow cases and stacked in a pile. The bathrooms were not cleaned. The bathrooms were with urine and fecal splatters in the toilet bowl. The showers had grass and hair left in them. on the window sill. The floor was left unswept, we found the broom left in a corner with a pile of dirt that was not picked up. There were toys, candy, globs of (pet) hair and medication found on the floor

Our family goes to Port A every year and we always rent a beach house. There are 11 of us and we cook our meals while we are there so we need a big place to stay with a lot of room. This year we stayed at Captain Twigs. The house was well stocked and everything was fully functional. Also, there were plenty of towels! I can't tell you how rare that is, and we really appreciate having bath towels for everyone! The pool for the property is not very big, but it was clean and had lots of room around it. Additionally, there is plenty of parking for every rental, which is another plus!! Our favorite thing
