Partners in business and in life, husband and wife team Francisca and Antonio Alonso are the creative force behind the shared vision for Vacation Style Living, a philosophy for home construction and design that is the cornerstone of the business. Francisca and Tony met at the School of Architecture at the Catholic University of America in 1987.
Antonio is a licensed architect in Virginia, Maryland and Washington DC. Having both lived in Europe as children, the two shared an affinity for the light, modern, style typical of Mediterranean homes that would come to define their professional aesthetic.

We engaged AV Architects and Builders to design and build a custom pool house for year-round use. Francisca and her team worked with us closely to design a structure that was exactly what we were hoping for. Once the design was finished, AV was extremely helpful in the selection of materials that suited our taste and budget, and then oversaw construction in an attentive and detailed manner. AV Architects and Builders renovated my home completely. It was a five star experience. What I appreciated the most was the fact that they took full charge of the project from A to Z. I was consulted on major decisions and always kept abreast of any issues that arose. Francisca accompanied me for all purchases i.e kitchen, bathrooms, etc. I would highly recommend them. They are very professional and considerate of budget and time restraints.

We engaged AV Architects and Builders to help us add space to our home for a growing family. While other builders suggested additions, the AV team's creativity showed us how we could reconfigure our layout and free up valuable, unusable space without the need for additions. It was amazing. The money we saved from avoiding expensive additions, was put into upgrading of appliances, flooring,etc. The end result was stunning. AV Architects should be a "must consult" if you're thinking of a home redesign or building project.
