Comprised of 100% Merlot, this wine features bright notes of black cherry, chocolate and hint of anise, along with a lively acidity that makes the wine especially enticing. Services
No matter the varietal, each of our Tin Barn Vineyard wines offers a scrumptious, elegant experience perfect for sharing in fellowship. Enjoy our boutique, single-vineyard wines with a meal, appetizer or on their own. When Michael Lancaster fled the corporate world, he did so on two wheels, pedaling through some of the world's most fabled wine regions. Returning to his native Toronto a year later, he knew he'd never wear a suit and tie again. Michael headed to Northern California to study at the renowned University of California at Davis enology program.
Gentle tropical aromas are balanced by stainless-, concrete-, and barrel-fermented juice, resulting in a rich mouthfeel and texture. Along the outskirts of Sonoma County, on a slope facing the San Pablo Bay, lies a family vineyard where the foggy, breezy location is ideal for Pinot Noir. Introducing our first Pinot Noir Reserve from the renowned Griffin's Lair vineyard in the Petaluma Gap AVA.
At the heart of Tin Barn Vineyards lies a community of friends and colleagues who work, play, dine and (naturally!) drink together. Like any family, ours continues to grow. Won't you join us? Great wine starts with quality, well-tended grapes. As each Tin Barn Vineyards wine is sourced from a single Sonoma County vineyard, we spend considerable energy selecting prime Sonoma County sites. Careful tending, often amid unique climate and terrain, yields outstanding winegrapes. The result: fabulous wines.

The wines here are tasty, but I would not put this place on my list for wineries to visit in Sonoma. Not quite the traditional ambiance most are looking for - the tasting room is currently in the parking lot outside (covid) of the Skypark warehouses. And Michael lacks the charm and hospitality one looks for in their tasting experience.

This intimate tasting room is a great surprise in a row of warehouses. Primarily fantastic reds, but they also do a great Sauvignon Blanc and Rose!

Fantastic wines at good value. Enjoy the aroma & flavor of the wine instead of a chateau.

Excellent wines, and nice intimate tasting experience. We were riding bikes from downtown Sonoma and randomly saw a sign directing us to this winery, which is tucked back in an industrial area (kinda reminds me how a a lot of the brewery tasting rooms start). As we were sampling, I found myself liking each wine more and more, did some math, and realized their wine club was a no-brainer for me. Of note:
- Both Zins are great, my wife liking the Russian River Zin and me the Sonoma Valley Zin more.
- The Cab Sauv is consistently winning "best in class" from SF Chronicle.
I like forward to each

Was here for a vertical tasking of about ten wines from late 90's to 2012. Awesome experience and great to hear from the wine maker and vineyard owner. If this event is equivalent to how they treat customers on a daily basis then this is a must to visit!

I organized an offsite to Wine Country for my team at work and Tin Barn was one of the vineyards we visited as part of this excursion. They were nice enough to accommodate a big group (there were like 30 of us) which can be kind of rare for tasting rooms.
When we arrived they had a nice table set up for us already w/ the right number of glasses and all the bottles ready to taste; the organization and forethought was definitely appreciated. I don't know too much about wine, but it seemed ok for its price (the bottles were like $20-50). They specialize in red wines and had a generous tasting menu
