She was admitted to the Indiana Bar in the fall of 2004, having earned her J.D. at the Indiana University School of Law at Indianapolis (now called the Robert H. McKinney School of Law). She attended Purdue University and earned her B.A. in 2000.

I retained Brooke on March 3, 2021. Since I retained her, I only spoke with her twice. I contacted her office on numerous occasions seeking answers regarding my divorce case. If or when her paralegal, Jamie, would respond, my questions or concerns would not be addressed. After spending $2500, I still haven’t received documents that I requested and paid for. On December 21, 2021, I emailed requesting that she withdraw from the case after receiving a letter from her office requesting $1000 (due to my resources were low) and she processed the paperwork within hours. Referred by a colleague at Community Hospitals. Thought I was getting the best…instead got the worst. This was a defense case and the attorney I retained sent her husband (who also works at law firm) instead and this blubbering baby (her husband) had a “spell” he called it and began crying in the middle of my argument. I had to basically babysit this 8 yr old clown and offer him tissues while he sobbed about his untrusting marriage. Needless to say he lost my case due to his great incompetence and crying outburst. I was represented by Brooke. I had a very nasty custody battle with my ex over our son. I am living in Tennessee and he lives in Indiana, our situation was very strange and unlike any other for sure. Brooke didn’t hesitate to help me. She’s so so so so sweet and kind. She definitely has compassion for her clients and loves her job. I cannot say enough great things about Brooke Bernhardt! She understood what I was going through and did her utmost for me against my spiteful Ex. With her, I ended up paying much less in Child support that I thought I would! When my ex left town with our kids she got her on contempt of court. She's no joke in the court room either. Seeing her lambast my ex and make her look as unreasonable as she is to the judge made me feel vindicated. I would highly recommend her and her firm. When she wasn't available, another attorney in the firm stepped in and he was no slouch either!

I referred my boyfriend to Brooke for some family court issues. She handled my divorce swiftly and professionally. However, between 3 years ago and now she has gotten very busy and it shows. My bf’s ex was suppose to be held in contempt, but the paperwork was never filed. We had several things happen that we knew would be a big deal in court, but was never addressed. Which has left us in a mess. We didn’t receive important documents from court on time or ever. I don’t feel we got proper counsel at all. I will say she’s good in court, but what happens outside of court is also important.

Zach Phillips represented my brother who had been incarcerated for 12 years. Zach was able to get my brothers sentence modified with the state, and he will finally be released to normal life because of him. My family couldn’t be happier. My husband hired this law firm and we used an associate Brooke. This was ongoing case in a small county over a one side divorce and child support we went to court and our attorney wasn’t allowed to be heard and as she should have been was frustrated. This was in March we contacted her the next day asking if we could appeal he said she was going… to check and get back to us never heard back then we have a compliance hearing in one week, we did receive a bill around 3 weeks ago for 53.00 which I have not paid and we found out only my looking on my case that she withdrew from our case

Elisha Comer! She is a beast at what she does. She is very knowledgeable and she cares about your case. She knows what she’s doing. I’ve talked to a few attorneys about my case and none of them really took the time or effort to listen and when I talked to her I knew she was the one. Mr. Phillips might be suburb at being a family law attorney. However our experience with him as a criminal defense attorney was awful! No responses to emails or phone calls. When I first met with him to discuss the case and get input and feedback he was helpful and seemed like he would be a great choice. After I paid the requested cost for the… services in full, that changed! I would never recommend him to be a criminal defense attorney.
Again, maybe family law is his strong suit and he is a "go getter" in that area. His criminal defense was not at all worth the cost to hire him. 👎

They are a professional staff as far as i know they work with u if u are on a budget i dont know much about the other attorneys at this office but i do have elisha comer currently as mine and she is very excellent at her job to be honest she is a beast in the court room not to be played with she will make u feel at ease with how she handles ur case… strongly recommend her if u are in a custody battle with anyone i have to say all in all she is a hundred percent worth every cent u pay thank u so much for all u have done elisha and continue to do theres no question if i ever have any problem
