Name Maker, Inc. was established in 1938 as a fabric label company in New York City. Bernie Bryan, president of Notions Unlimited, bought the company in 1950 and rebuilt all of the original machinery for an Atlanta plant. Bryan's transformed brand first offered mass produced personalized name tapes, sewing labels, and custom made labels.

HORRIBLE! Took 5 weeks to get my custom ribbon and it showed up CRUSHED! I took a picture and sent it to the company and they refused to issue me a refund or send me new ribbon as they are saying it was a shipping issue not a production issue. Really?! I spent $60 on this ribbon and cant even use it. The ribbon wasn't even good quality if it had not been crushed. Will def NEVER do business with them again.

If I could give 0 stars I would. This company and it's employees are the epitome of laziness. Just try speaking to one on the phone and you'll understand. They are rude and constantly have an un-called for attitude. I've put up with this company for 3 years now because I used them when I first started my business in 2016 and the ribbon I use has now become a part of my branding. Aside from being slow (and forgetting my order a few times that I've had to call and remind them of after waiting over a month for ) on my most recent order they messed up my company name. I run an assisted living facility and had been using this company for many years. Up until this last year they were wonderful. I can't place an order to save my life now. I have been struggling with them since December and I finally am just giving up. I don't get responses to email, the fax # doesn't work, the phone # I had on file also didn't work, I had to look up an updated # on the website, and when I spoke directly to customer service I was offered no resolution to the problem. In fact they sent me the wrong labels when I eventually got my delivery. This is very disappointing

I did not want to write this but I have had no luck with this company. I placed an order December 13, 2018. I was hoping my daughters "special Santa" paper would come in before Christmas. Well it didn't. No biggy, I probably ordered a little to late. Well New Years Eve and Day has come and gone so I decided to call. I was made aware that any order placed after December 11th would not be processed until after the Christmas holidays. It was no where stated on the website that this would occur. Almost one month later my paper came in. The color print was incorrect. Once again

And I only give it one because I can't give it zero, which is what I have received, $60, 8 weeks, multiple emails and phone calls (recording onthe 800 number and "number unassigned" on the local 404 number) later.

The worst company I have ever dealt with, Still waiting for a order I placed over a month ago. The wedding is in a few weeks and I dont know if I would have the ribbon for my bride's gifts. They lie about the delivery date and the order status. I will never use this company again. I may end up with a roll of useless ribbon if it arrives.

Thanks for delivering our holiday ribbon after the Christmas gifts have already been sent out. By the way, we ordered at the beginning of November. And there was no response when we inquired about the status of the order. I don't see how this place stays in business.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE company. Have been waiting for my labels for almost two months now. Still nothing. No-one wants to answer my inquires, they respond when they feel like it. And they take your money but send the product whenever they feel like. Use another company. Zero stars. I only gave one star because it wouldnt let me move forward without selecting a rating

One of the worst experiences I've ever had shopping online.

Slow, poor customer service, unable to communicate, just atrocious.

The first week of August I ordered name labels for my mother-in-law who is in assisted-living. Three weeks later still no labels. Send an email, took three days to get a response and got some lame excuse about how orders take 10 business days, the deadline for which it already passed.

I got an email just after Labor Day saying my order has shipped. A week later still no labels.

I call customer service to inquire and they give me a story about how the labels were

As an avid sewer and knitter for many many years, I enjoy making items for my children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. I always hope that they cherish and keep the items I make, so I was so excited when my daughter-in-law purchased labels for me about 15 years ago. Since then I have been purchasing labels from Name Maker's website. I only order a small amount at a time about 20 and I am able to customize them by adding my name. The delivery period takes a little bit of time (about 2-3 weeks on some items) but the quality is great.

This is the worst company to order from not only after you place your order thin it tells you it my take up to four weeks ..... really and thin tell you their are No refunds! if you are a vendor don't do it because your customer will be very angry

My daughter leaves for camp in 36 hours. Over a month ago, I ordered some iron-on name labels and a sheet of name stickers for her camp items, and I was told that they would arrive in 2-3 weeks. When four weeks had come and gone, I contacted the company and asked where my items were. I was told that the iron-on fabric was on back-order. This would have been very useful information for them to have emailed me, so that I could have made other arrangements. The labels did ultimately arrive yesterday, but not the stickers. If reasonable production and delivery time is of no importance, then go ahead and use this company. However -- if you have a business to run, and can't afford to wait 3-4 weeks for product, then this is not the vendor to use.

On a positive note, Teresa in customer service was very professional and extremely understanding, and resolved my issue immediately.

However, we will not be using this vendor again.

Let the lengthly disclaimers on their website when you place your order serve as a warning: you'll have to take their word when they send something, and they refuse responsibility for any aspect of a non-delivery. Including responding to inquiries about it.

Look for other services that make good customer experiences a priority.
