My introduction to the principles of acupuncture were from my Tai Chi instructor over 25 years ago. He promoted the principles of balance and the free flow of Qi that resulted from balancing one's mental, physical and emotional being. He set me on a path to not only do this for myself, but to expand into helping others.
Ryan Sauter is the massage therapist currently working in the Intuitive Acupuncture office. We have found that combining treatment modalities can be very efficacious for pain relief. If you would like to schedule a massage and an acupuncture treatment back-to-back, please call the office! Ryan graduated from the Healing Hands School of Holistic Health in 2010 and has successfully worked at a number of different clinics and spas since that time.
One of the most rewarding things I do is getting patients out of pain. Many patients have pursued standard Western medical therapies without relief and are trying acupuncture as a last resort. Because acupuncture is very low-risk in comparison to many of the medications and procedures offered by doctors, I hope that more patients will try acupuncture before they have exhausted all other options.
Acupuncture is commonly used in East Asia where it is integrated into everyday medical practice and where its benefits have been recognized for thousands of years. Acupuncture has only recently become a subject of scientific study in the United States, but nonetheless a multitude of studies have shown acupuncture to benefit a number of conditions, particularly pain disorders.

After my GP, chiropractor, and massage therapist all thought that the pain in my shoulder blade was from tension in my back, Kristo at Intuitive Acupuncture believed that my shoulder and back were actually over stretched and that the tension resided in my chest. He treated my chest and back with acupuncture and cupping. After three sessions with Kristo I am significantly improved.

Kristo was professional and so gentle. It was my first time ever seeing an acupuncturist and he was patient with me and made me feel very comfortable. Not only did he listen to how I was feeling and validate my pain but I felt immediate relief after he applied the needles. Kristo is an expert and really knows what he is doing. I have a deviated septum and suffer from chronic sinus infections but after my treatment I was really able to breathe! I felt so relaxed and was able to sleep soundly that night for the first time in a long time. I had an amazing experience and would recommend Kristo to anyone

I have received treatment from both Jonathan and Kristo, and both were phenomenal. Jonathan is an expert at treating all things pain related, things that I would typically take an advil for and have to deal with for weeks. Pain is mitigated within one or two sessions I have found. It is extremely effective.
I have begun treatments with Kristo to address heavy menstrual cycles and extreme pain during menses, as well as acne/skin issues. He is incredibly gentle and a true expert within this area of treatment! He is also a Chinese herbalist so I plan to add some herbs to my treatments per his recommendation

Jonathan is exceptional at what he does. He made me feel comfortable from the beginning (even though I was a bit nervous). He asked a series of questions to pin point and customize my treatment. As soon as I was able to relax I began to feel the euphoric relaxation. Adding acupuncture and cupping into my wellness regimen has been an absolute game changer. I would highly recommend Jonathan for anyone looking into acupuncture services.

I came to Intuitive Acupuncture with no experience with acupuncture and out of desperation to try and get relief for a shoulder pain I had been feeling for the last 18 months after trying everything my doctor and specialists had recommended. It was so bad that I was lucky if I got 4 hours of sleep a night.

Wow! Between Jonathan and Galen, acupuncture does wonders!
A little back story: A year and a half ago I was diagnosed with a meniscus tear in my knee and both golfer’s and tennis elbow. The meniscus tear was so severe that I had to have surgery to repair it, and the pain in my elbow was so bad that I had to get multiple cortisone shots. The first shot lasted about six months, and the second one lasted eight months. I was in so much pain with my back and neck and I was eager to try something new. I have been nothing but impressed with Jonathon and his ability to find the exact points of pain and make them feel SO much better with acupuncture and cupping. I feel like a new person since I visited Johnathon! Any direction I turned my head, I felt pain in my left shoulder and neck. The pain started off minor so I waited for it go away and, of course, it only got worse. I had never done acupuncture before and was a little skeptical.
