Sandstone Realty is a family owned & operated company with employees proudly doing business in Lorain, Cuyahoga, Erie & Huron Counties. Officially Sandstone Realty started late 2013, though the Sandstone Realty team has been together managing properties, renting properties and selling real estate for over 20 years.
Having a successful rental property requires a lot of time, effort, experience and knowledge. Let us save you that time, effort and frustration that comes with gaining that experience. As a full service Cleveland & Lorain County Property property management company, our team is responsible for taking care of all aspects of managing your rental(s).
Due to the extent of how utilities must be handled, and how labor intensive they are, we charge $10 per month per property to collect all bills pertaining to the property, bill accordingly, pay each utility company and track the bills. If you opt not to use this service you will be responsible for utility management and must not have any interruption to any utility service.
We also cannot payout rental proceeds if this is not on file. We ask that you read it carefully as it contains important information. This is so we can collect your contact information so we are able to communicate with you when necessary. We are only collecting the information we require and do not give out your information to anyone - including the tenant.
Yes, there are additional costs when an eviction is necessary. Please know that there are many additional steps taken to avoid the eviction but there are instances where it is simply unavoidable. There is a flat fee of $500 that will cover all eviction costs. There are cities where a moving company and/or storage is required and that incurs an additional fee.

Very unresponsive. Does not answer calls or return messages. Have been transferred to the "Office Manager", Margarite & have left very detailed & lengthy messages to only STILL be kept waiting!
This is an extremely disheartening turn of affairs, (especially after spending the required charges for my Family's application fees.) There are nice Properties that it appears Sandstone manages. However, if the company continues to treat perspective tenants the way that they do, then they are doing Homeowners a serious dis-service by cheating them out of wonderful renters/ (income).

They charged me $1800 worth of damages caused by a flood in my ground level apartment that was NOT MY FAULT. How can someone charge me for damages that's caused by a flood that's out of my nature? I am not God. I am not Mother Nature.

I'd give no stars if possible DO NOT RENT FROM THESE SCUMBAGS, they sold the house out for under us and I only got my security deposit back because I threatened legal action....STAY FAR AWAY

I left a one star and wasn't going to comment until I saw the the response from Sandstone. Rented from them for a year and they would post eviction notices on the door if the rent was more than 3 days late. We go accused of changing the locks and we never did. We paid our rent within a week of the 1st of the month every month and did not live there for 6 month without paying. They are not professional and would not recommend this company to anyone.

The duplexes they own in Fillmore circle in Lorain all have roaches & they don’t handle the problem. The infestation just travels from house to house. Thinking about calling the health department and the newspaper about this issue since it has been ongoing for a while.

If you are an owner and wish to use their property mgmt services run don't walk away. So unprofessional! I contacted Sandstone Realty and another property management place on Thursday mid day to discuss moving my rental properties under a property mgmt company to oversee. As a realtor I have several properties and can't give them my full attention. Left a message for Sandstone Realty on Thursday and got a call back on Friday at 5:00 pm. I was in the middle of showing houses so unable to answer. I called Joseph back on Monday at 1:00 pm and told him I was returning his call concerning

Update from My previous review !
They were able to undo my valves for my washer and dryer . However , they gave me a makeshift vent bucket to empty out for lint . They had the vent connected to my bathroom which cause my walls to be drench in water and lint .

Ive been smelling gas everytime I enter my home . Never thought anything of it I just thought it's cause its a older building . Contacted Sandstone Realty on several occasions to complain about their tenants..... Yes! I have 37 pics of disgusting condition of Sandstone property that, hopefully, will motivate Sandstone Realty to take affirmative action in resolving issue of "uncivilized" tenants.... the children are left alone most of the time and teen girls attract young thugs that throw trash into our yards and insist on acting vulgar and screaming obscenities!

They managed my properties and from the reviews it seems they are just as terrible to tenants as they are to landlords. My properties were kept in terrible condition, could never get a hold of them- they screen their calls and don't answer. One of their sales people is extremely rude and you need to watch what they are billing you for VERY carefully....

Do not go threw Sandstone. They are over priced with there monthly rents and give you apartments that are not up to the states codes. They will not hold up there agreements on the lease. And they will pull as much mo ey out of you as they can. We are going on 2 years of living here and the maintenance requests that we have put in still have not been fully addressed. Not putting any blame on the people that come out here and try to fix the massive mess that was put forth on them but for the managment that doesn't care about anything but getting there money. I scheduled a showing with them for an apartment, I showed up on time and waited but no one answered. I tried getting them on the phone but had alot of issues. Finally contacted someone and they told me all they can do is give me a number for the person that was supposed to be there. Very unprofessional. When I called the other number it went straight to voicemail. I got a call back 10 minutes later from them and they tried to make it seem like I was late to the appointment. I will definitely not deal with sandstone reality in the future.

My fiancé and I are trying to relocate. I scheduled an appointment, 2 actually, through their preferred website I believe it was forrent.com.

Jason McLaughlin was supposed to show us 2 properties. One of which we were supposed to see today. The emails you receive that remind you of your appointment? Are automatic. He's never been in contact with us. His voicemail is ALWAYS full. Also, he did NOT show up to the property to show it to us for our scheduled appointment at 11am.

This has been such an unprofessional experience. Especially for possible tenants who wish to move in. I could only

Currently living at a property that they manage. They either appear to be undermanned and overwhelmed or just unprofessional and lacking.

Very hard to get a response to maintenance requests. The most recent, a hole that appears in the ceiling with water dripping through it would seem rather important, especially if I owned the property that they were managing. After contacting them again, finally received a response 1 week after our initial request, with the appointment scheduled 10 days after reporting the problem.

Currently waiting for the maintenance guy to show up. Over an 1 1/2 hour late
