Preventing dental disease starts at home with good oral hygiene and a balanced diet.
The cephalometric X-ray is a unique tool, which enables the dentist to capture a complete radiographic image of the side of the face. X-rays in general offer the dentist a way to view the teeth, jawbone and soft tissues beyond what can be seen with the naked eye. Cephalometric X-rays are extraoral, meaning that no plates or film are inserted inside the mouth.
A comprehensive dental exam will be performed by your dentist at your initial dental visit. Examination of diagnostic x-rays (radiographs): Essential for detection of decay, tumors, cysts, and bone loss. X-rays also help determine tooth and root positions. Oral cancer screening: Check the face, neck, lips, tongue, throat, tissues, and gums for any signs of oral cancer.

This office really takes their time to make sure each patient gets the treatment and care they need. This was the first dental office that checked the pockets of my gums. I never knew how important that actually is and not many places do it. There was no charge for it either. Diana the hygienist thoroughly explained everything to me. Recommend this office 100%

I must commend Decade Dental, Dr. Stuart Rubin, and his incredible Staff for being open and serving the Community during COVID19 Restrictions. Easy to see right off of Mineola Boulevard servicing Mineola and the adjoining areas of Nassau County. Parking on the street is available and there is a parking lot in the rear. Impeccably Clean facilities. Super Friendly Staff. Highly Recommended!
