The absolute rudest office staff on the planet! They told me my appointment for my grandmother was Wednesday. They said I would get a call to confirm. I didn't get that call. So Wednesday came, and I called to double check and Kristen informed me that apparently I misunderstood, the doctor has been booked out forever, there was no way to squeeze her in that same day etc. I asked her to please see if Grandma could be squeezed in because she has dementia and I had arranged to take her out of the nursing home at that time etc. She huffed at me and placed me on hold for a while as if she didn't want

I've been going to Dr. Van Der Heyden the entire time he's been in business. I can't imagine going anywhere else. Dr. Van Der Heyden is so competent and knowledgeable that there has never been a question that I have put to him that he couldn't answer and in great detail. He has fit many of my friends with contacts when other doctors have said they could not be fitted. The office staff is just great too. It's just an all around fantastic experience. If you don't give this doctor a try you're really missing out.
