We're a licensed and Medi-Cal certified community-based program providing our San Diego senior adult day care community a variety of health, therapeutic, and social services to medically, socially, or psychologically eligible adults since 2002. Specializing in social, individualized and empathic care, we serve 135 participants daily-complementing the care received at home.
Our skilled Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) consists of: nursing department, medical director, social services department, physical therapist, occupation therapist, activity director, psychologist, registered dietitian, and a speech therapist. AmeriCare Adult Day Health Care was founded on the vision to create a place where seniors and individuals with disabilities could find a supportive and safe environment within their community. Irene Nashtut, Founder and Executive Director of AmeriCare ADHC, grew up very close to her grandparents, which built a deep respect and compassion for the elderly.
Having fun and providing a structured environment are essential to nourishing the mind and body-especially for those with Alzheimer's or other varying degrees of Dementia. At AmeriCare ADHC, our multidisciplinary team of trained health professionals take to heart the importance of emotional well-being as much as physical well-being.
