Services
The original facility was actually the home of a river boat pilot. Initial renovations converted the building into an apartment and the animal hospital. The apartments were modified for office space in 1992. Major renovations in 1993 and in 2000 brought the hospital to its current status, including the separate Savannah Animal Hotel.
Savannah Animal Hospital is an American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) accredited animal hospital. That means we hold ourselves to a higher standard. Pets are our passion, and keeping them healthy is our #1 priority. At Savannah Animal Hospital, we strive to deliver care for pets with excellence.
We are always looking to add to our team at Savannah Animal Hospital. We seek individuals that would be dedicated to our mission of serving people through their pets. Although experience is good, we provide training to our staff members. We currently cross-train hospital staff so that they can serve in all areas of the hospital.
We see patients by appointment; however, we also offer drop-offs, work-ins, and emergency services. At Savannah Animal Hospital, you can expect state of the art medical care for your pet companions. We believe in nurturing the human-animal bond and creating a harmonious relationship between people and their pets.
We at Savannah Animal Hospital understand that there is "no place like home, " but it would be our pleasure to provide your pet with a safe, comfortable, and fun place to stay while you are away from home. It is our goal to provide quality care and individualized attention while your pet is here. For those new to our facility, a pre-boarding exam: an examination of your pet while you are present is required prior to boarding.

Savanah is the best animal hospital around. It's truly a 5-star experience, but you really feel that with their pricing (only downside).
There are places locally that charge less than half of what a procedure would cost here, but their care is really worth it.
If you're looking to get something major done, I would do it here, but if it's something small I would shop around.

Not great at late night emergencies. The Dr/s on staff didn't have the calm demeanor one would expect when you have a crisis with your pet. Thankfully they were very helpful with giving me the equipment I needed to make the 3hr trip back home to DC to visit my primary, emergency vet at Friendship Animal Hospital. Having a second home in RB (living in DC full time), I was staying in RB for 4 weeks and unfortunately during that time, I had to make a really hard decision of putting down my beautiful 3.5yrold Ibizan Hound due to seizures. That day was so hard; one of the hardest days of my life. The

Would never recommend this place! I’ve been taking my dog there for two years and spent thousands of dollars there. My dog has been seen the last couple months for seizures. He had a bad one today and came out paralyzed. I called them at 7:30 pm to ask if they would euthanize him cause he was moaning in pain. They said they wouldn’t see him cause they closed in a half hour. I could have been there in 15 minutes. No compassion for our family. Told us to drive 40 minutes to the er in Salisbury.

Savannah Animal Hospital was amazing when my dog became sick while we were traveling and was able to work with our home vet to ensure that we received the medication we needed. THey were so kind and friendly and professional. We must have called half a dozen or more other vets

Could not have asked for a better experience. We were visiting from out of town and came in for an emergency visit, each member of the team was very kind and thorough… my dog had kennel cough as suspected and we were able to get the meds he needed and we were in and out of there in an hour. Friday evening, the staff had us come in and help our fur baby get a very thorough exam. Our dog is an older rescue dog, who does not do well with other animals and the staff was so accommodating. They went over her discharge instructions, medications, and even gave me a good contact number in case she didn’t improve. The practice was spotless, warm, inviting, and my dog did not want to leave. Thank you for everything!

I have 2 golden retrievers under 1 and I cannot say enough about the vets who work here and their team members. Organized, efficient and most of all knowledgeable on taking care of my two dogs. Highly recommend to any pet owners!

Our first time going was the best experience. The lady who attended us was very patient They treated Rocky very nicely and friendly. They always comforted him. They always called us to see if Rocky was ok after his surgery. We really appreciate it! Thank you very much savannah animal hospital!

Great place. Staff was very friendly and caring. They have an awesome lobby. You never really think about vet lobbies. Hotel lobbies, sure, but but vets? They took great care of our two cats even though our cats weren't very happy about being at the vet. Very professional staff all around. Currently, one owner is allowed to go in with your pet and you have to wear a mask. Standard stuff. Will be back again, highly recommend.
