Authentic Relational Counseling, PLLC is an independently owned counseling practice providing in-person and virtual psychotherapy services to teens, adults, and families in the Greater Houston Area and Texas. The mission of the practice is to facilitate a safe and secure space where one may be authentic and transparent in the counseling relationship with no fear of judgment.

Services
Laura Braziel is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, Certified EMDR Therapist, and Certified Prepare Enrich Facilitator. She also has private-practice specific training in DBT. Laura has been providing counseling services to the Houston area since 2008. She specializes in adolescents and adults, trauma and anxiety, and parenting struggles with teens.
It is important that you feel comfortable and confident that your counselor may be a good fit for your needs. Laura is happy to speak with you by phone at no charge to briefly listen to your concerns, answer your questions and determine if she is the right counselor for you. Laura does NOT contract with insurance plans.
Teletherapy is the use of technology-assisted media to deliver counseling services and treatment when in-person sessions may not be possible. Various devices may be used to connect including but not limited to laptops, smartphones, tablets, ipads, and desktops. Yes! Laura uses a HIPAA compliant video platform through SimplePractice.

Laura was my therapist for what felt like too long but maybe only a couple months, no idea. I do not recall her being helpful or giving me useful advice to apply to every day life. She just kinda left me with the words "god will help you ." If you have child, take my word and do not send them to her. She's a real nice lady just not a good fit at all for helping people, especially youth, with issues when it comes to providing navigating tools.

I have known Laura personally and professionally for over 10 years now. She is a caring, compassionate, hard working clinician who always has her clients best interests in mind. She keeps up to date with the most relevant information pertinent to her clients (e.g. her parenting seminar is amazing) and does an excellent job instilling her knowledge in various areas to her clients. She is responsible, non judgmental, and a genuine person. I cannot recommend her highly enough!
