Welcome Road Winery

This place is fun! Right now they are taking hour-long reservations on their patio and there's plenty of heaters to go around and tables are nicely spaced apart.

The wine we tasted was mostly red blends, all were very good. Very reasonably priced, and the staffer did a great job explaining the wines and making it a fun experience.

We even joined the wine club - which we never do after only one time at a winery. And it's a big plus that it's one of the only wineries on West Seattle Island. We used to be regulars at a few wineries in Georgetown/SoDo - that's hard now.

Welcome Road is the best West Seattle tasting room, hands down! I always have a lovely time and great conversations. The outside patio is open and wonderful right now as we end summer and get into pretty fall days. ❤️

I've read a couple of the reviews, and it seems I've had a similar experience with service. There were a few people at the counter, and I was ignored for the better part of 15 minutes. I think there were around 3 staff individuals present, and the place was a bit busier than usual, so I'd say that some service-leeway is granted, but 15 minutes? Besides the service, the wine was pretty good, but I'm not quite so sure I'm the most reliable person for recommendations. The neighborhood was fantastic, and the sunlight was stunning; it just lit up the whole place! Absolutely loved the neighborhood!

Ever went to a restaurant and take a sip of the wine and the first thought that comes to your mind is "whoa, they diluted my glass of wine!".
That's the thought that I had when I went to a tasting at this location.
With prices from $19 to $30, I would definitely recommend you go to a local store and buy any bottle under $10. Otherwise, I thought the service was pretty good. It's just the wine that wasn't.

The name says it all! Always so welcoming, full of wonderful knowledge, and the best wines in town. A favorite for our family.

Wonderful setting and ambiance. Nice after work wind down. Great service and even more awesome community of visitors. Definitely a new spot!

I enjoyed the customer service. It's just a bit offputting when the owner and winemaker do not have a palette. I tried talking about various other wines from the local area and their descriptions of them, and the classic French wines, but they didn't have a clue. If you don't have a palette, how do you make the wine? It doesn't come out that well, and it showed.

The staff here is extremely friendly. They welcomed us in and kept the wine flowing. Very knowledgeable and willing to explain in whatever level you're interested in. The space is small but very accommodating. I would recommend visiting on a nice day so you can make the most of the patio.

This place is the best winery in WS! the winemaker had a French approach to her wines and hits the mark every time! They even have some small bites occasionally. Btw their wine club is super reasonable, highly recommend!

This weekend i rounded up some friends to check this place out, because I live in West Seattle and I need to check out the wineries that are in West Seattle!

The place is very cozy and intimate. I suggest checking this spot out for a date night (we brought our kids, so not as intimate). The staff are incredible, and the wine is really good. I particularly enjoyed the Cab Franc!

Bonus - they are kid and dog friendly!

I like this winery quite a bit. Their reds are delicious after a long day of work. The tasting room is a bright, fun, happy, inviting and cozy place to relax and have some wine.

I have also rented Welcome Road out for an evening to host a party for about 35 people. It was an amazing experience at a very reasonable price. They set up a tent outside for extra space, kept our glasses full all night and took care of all the set up and clean up. I highly recommend it as a spot to host a party.

Love this cozy, friendly, local winery! I was so excited to see a wine tasting room open in West Seattle and this one did not disappoint! The owners and staff are amazingly accommodating and genuine. The parties and member events are always above and beyond (private chef preparing food right there for you?! Yes please!!) and the tastings and wines are unique and affordable! Love the French style and ambiance! Plus kids and dogs are welcome! Love this place! Highly recommend!

Our clinic had a small private party at Welcome Road Winery this week. We were so impressed by the service, quality of wines, and their flexibility in accommodating our group. Prices are incredibly reasonable for quality. We'll definitely be coming back!

Welcome Road Winery offers great wines, friendly service, and a comfortable, casual environment. A neighborhood gathering spot, you generally run into someone you know. Whether you prefer red, white and/or port you won't be dissatisfied!

Stopped in today for a wine tasting. Can't comment on the wine because I was never served. When my wife and I walked in, there were 4 people at the counter and a woman waiting on them. There was another woman who appeared to work there moving boxes around. We stood there for about 5 minutes with not even a look from anyone working there. All 4 people doing their tasting seemed to notice us standing there, but was never acknowledged by anyone working there. So we decided to go have s seat outside and see if we would get waited on out there. Nope. After waiting another 5 minutes we decided to

Lovely tasting room with great wines. If the weather is nice there is outdoor seating.

Nice little tasting room/shop. Great wines - top to bottom. Even though Im not much of a white wine drinker - I found their whites to have some body and flavorful. Reds were fantastic! Cool place to come grab a glass to drink or a bottle to take home. Owner and staff are friendly and knowledgable.
