What began as a single-woman operation in Boone, NC back in 2013, has blossomed into an entire team of wildly talented craftspeople who create custom pieces for clients all over the world. Shop owner and founder Carley Ferrara brings over twenty years combined experience in woodworking & blacksmithing.
Carley holds her BFA in Interior Design from Miami University of Ohio, as well as her MFA in Furniture Design & Construction from the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD). The diverse team at Iron Mountain Forge & Furniture is united by a true passion for craft.

Carley was an amazing instructor. Her hammer work was so elegant to watch. She moved metal like it was butter. The class was 2 hours and since it was one on one I got have much more input and be able to relax more. It was a great experience. Definitely will be going back for another lesson or if anything to play with big blue 😍
