Services
Bayshore Retreat was founded by my son, Jeff, Megan Deane (a friend who worked with him at another alcohol and drug rehab) and me. We've traveled the road you are on now. We've dealt with professional and financial problems resulting from drug and alcohol addiction. We've had the same frustrations, concerns, anxiety, anger, regrets and remorse that you're having.
It's a harrowing experience to live through for the addict and in some ways just as bad to watch from the sidelines. As family and friends, you shift from powerless to helpless to hopeless as you see your loved deteriorate. The National Institute of Health estimates that 10% of US adults have a drug use disorder at some point in their lives, that's around 23 million people.
A clean and sober life is something anyone can achieve and that everyone deserves. You've arguably already taken the biggest step towards that promised land by coming to terms with the fact that addiction is a problem that needs to be reckoned with.

Be it in your own life or that of a family member or friend, looking in the mirror and realizing that not only is it time to change but going further and looking into how to get it done are the first strides in your journey towards a new life. And it's a scary prospect. Drugs and alcohol have been a crutch and something you relied on for years to cope with whatever life threw at you.
When drug and alcohol use go unchecked for long enough, they can spiral into an uncontrollable dependence and an addiction that takes over your life or the life of your loved ones. Just as substance abuse is immersive and swallows up the mind, body and spirit, the best shot at recovery comes from an equally immersive experience.
You've hit bottom and decided to make a change. You went through the emotionally and physically exhausting process of detoxing your system. Then you spent considerable and highly productive time and energy in residential inpatient treatment getting back on even footing. While rehab sets you up with a myriad of ways to deal with the stresses that come with daily life, you're in a bit of a heightened state of vulnerability after rehab.

This was quite possibly the best decision I ever made to go to Bayshore. It changed my life! Where do I start, oh yes the food. Chef Mark is extremely talented. I ate better there for 30 days than I have my 30+ years of existence. It was like eating at a 5 star restaurant 3 times a day. The entire staff was absolutely incredible as well, from the co-owner Judy for making my initial call warm and inviting, to other co-owner Megan for working so hard with my insurance company to get it covered, for providing us with a safe and peaceful retreat, and for going above and beyond to accommodate our needs

Every addict has their own path to and through recovery. Treatment doesn’t always provide a fix-all for every person. My personal journey led me to Bayshore three times (and it wasn’t my first trip to treatment). This is hands-down the most comprehensive, immersive and compassionate program for those who struggle with drugs and alcohol. The house is beautifully appointed, the chef is absolutely amazing, and the peace and motivation I felt while in attendance is the most gracious I’ve experienced. I still communicate regularly with fellow clients and staff. I am now 19 months sober (after

I looked at a few other places before making my decision to come to Bayshore and I am extremely pleased with the choice I made. The staff is super supportive and genuinely care about you, the house is immaculate, and the food is DELICIOUS. My counselor, Stephanie was amazing! I am so grateful for all the love and guidance I received here.

Bayshore Retreat is an exceptional facility! The owner and staff go above and beyond for everyone that walks through the front door.
This facility sets itself apart on almost every level. The maximum number of patients is 6, allowing for more one on one time and an experience tailored specifically to each individual.
Alcoholism and addiction are cunning, baffling, and powerful diseases. The staff members here know that and have years of experience helping people deal with their afflictions.
Whether you are deep in your addiction, still allowing drugs and alcohol to dictate your life (1⭐️Girl

I'm grateful for finding Bayshore Retreat. Making the decision to come here has been the best thing that I have done for myself and the changes I have made here will make an immense impact on my life and family as I go through sobriety! It has been a loving family atmosphere with very caring staff and a beautiful and calming setting on the water. The Life Skills counselor Steve motivated me every day to dig deep and find my strength and that allowed me to believe in myself again and gave me the confidence going into every meeting with the head counselor Stephanie. It is through these meetings

Staff is genuinely dedicated to helping each client work through their issues on a daily basis. Very well kept/clean facility with 5 star in house chef. Counseling is effective and tailored to each clients personal needs. Well thought out workbook and staff led groups that cover all aspects of patient care and wellness. Daily access to gym and onsite sauna is effective in getting the patient back on a healthy living course. Group counseling/learning sessions either by onsite staff or offsite counselors is highly motivating and adept at helping the client identify underlying issues and ways to make

Bayshore Retreat by far exceeded my expectations. At first, I was extremely nervous due to not knowing what I was getting myself into as this was my first time coming to treatment. When I first reached out to Bayshore, the owner of Bayshore (Judy) answered and was extremely polite. A couple of days later, I was having second thoughts and Judy called to make sure my health and well being was okay which I thought was very considerate. That and her compassion really sealed the deal for me to make the choice to book my flight and get to Bayshore.
When I landed, I was greeted by the CEO (Megan) and

By far the best place to get sober! They provide an individualized and personalized approach to addressing root causes of the addiction not just break you down and turn you into a robot. They do it in a humane way, unlike the other places. At Bayshore you feel safe and cared for, it proves smaller is better. You will get to do various activities and dining out like they advertise, no false advertisements like the other places. Food is fantastic and facilities are gorgeous. Staff is the best, I have known the doctors for decades and they are awesome and trustworthy! You will be happy here and YOU

Bayshore Retreat is an amazing place! It is unlike any other treatment center I have ever been to.. The staff that is there genuinely cares about each and every person that walks through those doors and the program is tailored to each individual person, and the program molds to the person, as opposed to the other way around. The daily group therapy sessions are led by different counselors that are from various walks of life and all have different backgrounds which is nice. It gives each client a chance to gain a different perspective about their recovery. Another good thing about Bayshore is that

Bayshore Retreat has been a wonderful place for myself and the hospitality here has been second to none. The staff and the counselors sincerely care for each client and I could not have picked a better place to start my sobriety. Apart from the daily counseling and life skills program, the food and activities were a major plus! I would highly recommend Bayshore to anyone seeking sobriety. This place has really impacted and changed my life.

Bayshore is absolutely amazing. They take a holistic approach to bringing sobriety into your everyday life. The on-site chef creates incredible and healthy dishes to help you enjoy your new life of sobriety. They promote exercising daily, provide ample education and support, the counselors and staff are absolutely amazing, and having a smaller group of only 6 or less allows them to show genuine care and support to each client. I fully recommend this facility. It is very comfortable, friendly, thorough, and affordable (you could pay the same price down the street and get eggs out of a carton or

I came to Bayshore Retreat after a horrible experience at Destin Recovery Addiction Treatment Center. Bayshore is the BEST treatment facility I could have hoped for. They take a maximum of 6 clients at a time. I got specialized individual care in a loving and caring environment. The mental health therapy was top notch and offered a minimum of 2 times a week. In addition, Stephanie, the therapist, was in-house and available anytime she was needed. After being traumatized at Destin Recovery and by my husband, she guided me through the process of determining what happened to me, why, and whether the
