Dr. Fishman utilizes an integrative approach to Chiropractic, whereby he explores the various stresses of life that effect each individual. These may be physical (unbalanced work station), chemical (poor nutrition), or emotional (unsatisfying personal life). By looking at the whole person, he is able to determine the causes of dysfunction and pain, and then recommend an appropriate course of treatment.

Dr. Fishman believes that a Chiropractor should be a guide, a healer, a trained expert and a master technician who is able to help people understand the relationship between the world through which they move and their state of health; to help restore the balance necessary for health and wellbeing. The Back Pain Relief Plan:A 20-Minute Exercise-Based Program to Prevent, Manage, and Ease Pain by Ricky Fishman, DC.
Services
Dr. Ricky Fishman has been a Doctor of Chiropractic since 1986, and the Co-Director of Chiromedica, a holistic health care center, since 1988. As a leader in the field of integral healing, he has brought together and assimilated the work of chiropractors, medical doctors, acupuncturists, nurse practitioners, psychologists, physical therapists and massage therapists.
Dr. Fishman's approach to health follows the basic premise of chiropractic philosophy. This philosophy asserts that proper function requires proper structure and that our structural state is dependent upon the management of the stresses to which we are subjected daily. These stresses can be physical, chemical, or emotional; e.g. a poorly designed work station, an unbalanced diet, a toxic work place, or a difficult personal relationship.
Ergonomics considers the match between the person, the equipment they use, the work processes and the work environment. Ergonomics recognizes that a person's unique capabilities, physical attributes and work habits must be recognized to maximize wellbeing and productivity in the work place.

Dr. Ricky Fishman, Chiropractor and Certified Ergonomic Assessment Specialist, has been treating industrial and tech workers in the Bay Area for over thirty years.Working within the private health, worker compensation and public health systems, he has gained a unique perspective on the causes and treatment of musculoskeletal pain and dysfunction.
We are all subjected to stresses unique to our lives. The path to wellness is the exploration of what it takes to achieve physical, chemical and emotional balance. When we are out of balance, whether it is because we are hunched over a computer all day, or doing heavy lifting at the store where you work, or stressed out over an impossible work deadline, we often experience this as muscle tension and back pain.
For three decades Dr. Fishman has been treating industrial and tech workers in the Bay Area. Working within the private health, workers compensation and public health systems, he has gained a unique perspective on the causes and treatment of musculoskeletal pain and dysfunction. As an outgrowth of this passion, Dr. Fishman has developed and participated in programs that bring his skills and experience to the work place.

My telemedicine session with Ricky was great. I've been suffering with near constant neck pain for a few months now and given the circumstances I was unable to see a chiropractor in person. Via webcam, Ricky gave me a number of suggestions on ways to mitigate my pain and a number of helpful stretches and exercises. Two days later and my neck feels much better!

Ricky has helped me recover from lower back pain, tailbone injury and chronic migraines. His goal is always to not just get me out of pain, but to educate me about ergonomics, and teach me exercises I can do feel better so I won't have to come back for treatment as often. He's a very talented healer and I highly recommend him.

Ricky is absolutely incredible! He was so so helpful in treating my back/neck from a car accident. At the start of every appointment he listened carefully to everything I had to say and always checked in before and after each adjustment. Out of all the chiropractors I have visited he is hands down the BEST. He is kind, friendly, helpful, and extremely knowledgeable. Each session left me feeling so much better than before. In addition to the adjustments, he sent me home each week with simple exercises to do every day in order to speed up the healing process and stay healthy! I highly recommend visiting

Ricky Fishman is a great chiropractor. I grew up in a doctor's family, skeptical of chiropractors. That was until my back started hurting. I went to see Ricky on the recommendation of a friend and got immediate relief. But more than that, he helped me with recommendations about strengthening where I was weak to correct the problem long-term. After years of chronic back issues, I have had none whatsoever now for years. I occasionally see him for other issues, like shoulder mobility. I consider him an essential part of my health care ecosystem. He has a special expertise in treating musicians. Plus

About 15 years ago when my back went out, I went to Dr. Fishman, and after working with him for a few weeks, my back pain disappeared. Thankfully he is still in practice, and when my lower back went out recently, I was able to find him. His office was incredibly accommodating (I was flat on my back, unable to stand up hardly) and they got me an appointment almost immediately. Within moments of being manipulated and gently massaged and adjusted, I was feeling so much better and able to get on with my day. He gave me specific exercises (very much like a physical therapist might do) and they too have

Dr. Ricky Fishman is amazing! Helped me work through a painful shoulder issue that was manifesting with numbness in the hand; scary stuff. With Ricky's guidance, in a few months I was back to normal. I'm a musician and work in a recording studio. Being a musician as well, Ricky was able to provide really helpful information specific to my work. He had even written a bit about posture in the studio environment already. I was very lucky to find such a great chiropractor and would highly recommend Dr. Fishman to anyone looking for a skilled chiropractor!

Dr. Fishman is an amazing chiropractor. He is a very knowledgeable, intuitive, thoughtful and very caring doctor. And what a great person he is!
My first visit to his office was many years ago when I suffered from severe pain after my car accident, and my friend recommended that I contact Dr. Fishman. Ricky helped me tremendously. He really helped me to recover when the physiotherapy failed.
I feel very fortunate that he is now my doctor. Ricky helps me every time I get back pain, stiff neck or I need an adjustment after long hours of working at the computer. I have seen amazing recovery results

What I like about Dr. Ricky's practice is that his goal is to get you feeling better in as few sessions as possible, versus having to come in multiple times to get better like many other chiropractors do. I went to see Dr. Ricky for shoulder pain and after only one session the pain that had bothered me for weeks completely went away! All it took was some adjustments, some exercises Dr. Ricky showed me how to do at home, and ice. I've returned to Dr. Ricky to have him adjust my lower back since I sit a lot during the day. Feeling much better, thank you!
