Usually around their 6 month birthday a new tooth will pop out! This is an exciting time, but also confusing as kids do not come with instruction manuals. Luckily we are here to help with their teeth as they grow!. Sometimes it takes longer for a tooth to erupt, we can evaluate to make sure everything is developing properly.
Tooth decay is caused by a buildup of bacteria-filled plaque which wears away at the enamel of children's teeth. When enough enamel wears away, cavities can begin to form which can lead to a whole host of issues with children's oral health.
Practicing good oral hygiene can go a long way toward reducing plaque and preventing issues with tooth decay, but if you're looking for something to aid in protecting your children's teeth by strengthening enamel you should consider fluoride treatments.Fluoride is a natural mineral that is used in many oral hygiene products such as toothpastes and mouth rinses, and can sometimes be found in tap water.

Silver Diamine Fluoride, or SDF, is a special liquid medication that helps stop a cavity from growing further. It contains silver to fight bacteria, and fluoride to strengthen the enamel. While this will not fix the hole in the tooth, it will buy us some time until we can fix it with a crown or filling.
When there's a cavity to fix, there's a hole in the tooth that needs to be filled. Fillings are placed to fill in the hole in the tooth that remains after removing the cavity/infection from the tooth. Most of the time we will place a tooth-colored filling. In some cases of bad hygiene, bleeding gums, swollen gums it is best to do a metal filling.

We have been bringing our daughter here for a year now, and will not bring her anywhere else!! She is 6 and used to be afraid of the dentist, but she absolutely loves their Doctors here (both that we have seen). We always leave feeling confident in the treatment and know our next steps. He never offers cookie cutter style dental work/solutions for our daughter who has adult teeth coming in faster than her child teeth are coming out. Can't say enough about how much we recommend them!

The Dr is very kid friendly! He makes the experience comfortable and connects with the kids as a friend. He is judgement free for is as young parents and open minded to holistic practices. He was great at answering all of our questions. I am so comfortable with him providing services for my children and recommending him to the community. They accept Medicaid!

Our first visit was great! We’re new to the area and I chose this place based off the reviews even though there is a kids dental office closer to us. Both me and my husband loved the dentist. He was great with our 3 boys, ages 6mo, 3yr and 7yr! Very happy with the professionalism, education and fun environment for us and the kids. Happy to say this will be our dentist for years to come.

We’ve been seeing Dr Tory since the office opened last year, extremely happy with the fun and professional environment for my family! Both my boys love the dentist. He is really great with the kids, ages 20 months and 8yr! Very happy with the experience every time we visit, thank you!! My oldest is excited to go every time

Can not be more happy that I found this place. This place is amazing it just opened. It's clean follows all covid protocols, It is ran by a husband and wife team very friendly, listen to all your concerns, goes over everything with you, daughter says has best dad jokes . If you have a kid on edge about the dentist will make you feel at ease. Highly recommended you won't be disappointed.
