I can't begin to thank Dr. Shephard and his team of amazing staff. My son was diagnosed with bilateral hip dysplasia. I took him to all his baby visits, specialists, ortho doctors... Dr. Shephard quickly diagnosed the problem. Not only did Dr. Shephard provide relief for my son's pain, he provided emotional support. My son has passed. I was recommended to Dr. Shephard by a friend who is a patient. I'm so happy I made an appointment. After years of battling neck, shoulder, upper back stiffness and lack of mobility (something I starting to believe was just how my body was) I learned at the clinic when getting an x-ray that I lost the curve in my neck.

In March 2020 I started to have neck pain and back pain. Did all the medical check up, doctors couldn't find anything wrong with me. The pain have gotten worse on late August to a point I felt I have thousand bugs crowding on my back to my upper leg along with pins and needles sensations. I have been going to Shephard Clinic for 2 years. Every experience I have had has been professional, efficient, and most importantly helpful. I have had back pain on and off for awhile before going to Shephard clinic, since going I have had much less issues with back pain.
Dr. Tomaino is great! He works on my back in a gentle but effective way. He is professional and great to chat with. He can always fit me in for a quick alignment and its always greatly appreciated.

Still going to Dr. Shephard's clinic when I get carried away and forget I am not 21 years old anymore. I am 71 and if I do too much it can get my back out of place. He puts me right back together and keeps me going. He is the best.

So over the years (2006 to Present) I've seen a dozen or so chiropractors, many I call friends, and by far Dr. Shephard is the BEST I've ever been treated by.
I recently moved my tiny house closer to Portland, and I have to say that I've pushed my body way too long without an adjustment. Dr. Shephard and his staff are amazing humans and it's clear to me why they love working with Dr. Shephard!

This is the most incredible chiropractic clinic. I've been seeing chiropractors for over 20 years. I suffer from chronic pain and severe osteoporosis. I get treatment weekly and prior to coming here received my care for chiropractor and massage at OHSU for over five years. After being referred to them I went to Dr. Shephard and was so impressed that I discontinued the care I was receiving at OHSU. Dr. Shephard's treatments manage my pain and when I leave his office I feel like a new person.

I have seen this place for years , however thanks to a healthy body never had a chance to get in but recently due to a neck/back pain I decided to try them out. Scheduling and getting an appointment is a breeze because the front office staff is extremely helpful and friendly. The office space is clean , well-lit and has a spacious waiting area. I was treated by Dr T who I think is knowledgeable, engaged and has a gentle demeanor. He looked at my X-rays and explained how my neck pain is because of other underlying issues. Dr. McHattie was amazing! I was able to find relief for my ongoing neck pain after just a few short visits. She felt like a friend or even a cool aunt that I could chat with during each visit, which was nice upon moving to the area and not knowing a single soul. The clinic staff was always friendly and flexible with my ever-changing schedule. Would definitely return if I were still in Portland!

I've been coming here for over a year now for chiropractic and cold laser care and recently started receiving massage. The NW area is a little out of the way for me living in SE, but I can get all three of these treatments in the same place which is fantastic. Everyone here is talented, professional, and friendly; I've been to many chiropractors, and I can't recommend these guys enough!

Every year during the summer my family and I go camping to the Baker City area this last year while over there I woke up with a horrible pain in my lower back that made it difficult to move. Over the past 6 months, I tried two different chriroplactor offices, but continued to have the lower back pain. It was difficult to do my daily activities.
Within one visit with Dr Shepard, I was able to get some relief and mobility back. With a few follow up appointments I was able to be myself. I did not realize how much sleep I was missing until I was finally able to sleep through the night.

I am writing this review to let anyone who is interested in knowing if Dr. Shephard's clinic is a good place to go for Chiropractic treatment to assure people that he is THE best!
I started having serious trouble with my lower back over 10 years ago. It was being suggested by doctors that it looks like I might have to have my back operated on. I was a forklift driver at a large manufacturing plant here in Portland called Gunderson's. My back got so bad I could not do my job anymore and the company put me on "light duty" which consisted of sitting in a guard shack for 8 hours keeping an eye on

What a great office! Dr T was engaged, respectful and responsive. He had me feeling better by my second visit and nearly back to normal at the fourth. The receptionist, Edna, is very competent and also kind. The office itself is very tastefully decorated and modern. Plus, there is lots of parking just out the door. Go for the cure, stay for the care!

One day about five years ago, I became debilitated by excruciating back pain. I had no idea what brought it on and being young (early 30's) it was quite scary! I was getting my hair cut that day and luckily my hairdresser told me about Dr. Shephard. I made an appointment. I had never seen a chiropractor before and was terrified! What if I wound up hurt even more? We've all heard horror stories.

I am a long time patient of Dr Shephard and went to see him after pregnancy for aches and pains. I was surprised when he asked how my knees and ankles had been feeling as I had severe leg pain and swelling during pregnancy that hadn't resolved. He treated my knees and ankles and I instantly felt the blood circulation return to my feet and the pain in my knees has been decreasing ever since. On top of that he treated baby and her range of motion has greatly improved which has helped significantly with breastfeeding!

With a chiropractic college right here in the area, it's no wonder Portland is crawling with chiropractors. So how do you find the right one? Dr. Gerhart is great!!! He has helped me stay injury free as I train for marathons and run high weekly mileage. He is a good listener, gentle mannered, and great with endurance/high performing athletes. If you are a runner, I would highly recommend Dr. Gerhart at this chiropractic clinic!

I have been a patient of Dr. Shephard since 1987. Over those years Dr. Shephard and the other Dr's have treated me for back issues, neck injuries from traffic accidents and most recently a work related severely sprained ankle. From the time you walk in the door you are treated with the highest level of courteous and professional service from the receptionists. The massage therapists are beyond thorough! They easily find every tight knotted muscle and get it tamed! I cannot say enough good things about the Dr's. No twisting or torquing your body, all adjustments are done without using those scary
