We have worked hard to earn the trust of generations of families, and are proud to be considered one of the region's premier nursing care centers. Our residents benefit from a broad range of services, all provided in a comforting home-like environment.
Services
St. Mary's Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is a long-term care, short-term rehabilitation, and respite care facility. Our 160-bed center is located in beautiful St. Mary's County. We coordinate our residents' care through their personal physician and our medical staff. Our full-time Activities Director and her staff offer daily activities for the residents.
St. Mary's Nursing Home, Southern Maryland's first nursing center, was established in 1965. The original building was housed in what is now called the St. Mary's County Health Department and had 66 beds. The St. Mary's County Building Authority Commission, a public instrumentality of the County Commissioners of St. Mary's County, owned the original nursing facility.
Our medical services are provided under the guidance of our Medical Director, Dr. Kirandeep Kaur, M.D., and our Assistant Medical Director, Dr. Josjin Vazhappily, M.D. They are members of the Medical Review Care Team, whose responsibilities include assisting the establishment of our medical care policies.
