During the Second World War, oil was rationed, and the US government created stamps that were given to families in order to get heating oil delivered.
Without these stamps there was no possibility of being delivered, the period was called the oil shortage. Little by little, the heating systems were modernized, and after the Second World War thru the late fifties, most homes were being equipped with oil furnaces. Number 2 fuel is the same fuel still in use today, which means that at the time the heating systems were basically working the same as nowadays.

I’ve been a customer for 4 years and couldn’t be more satisfied. My air conditioner wasn’t working and I called at 6:00pm. Someone arrived an hour later. Prompt service. I was given written estimates for oil to gas conversion. Installation went very smoothly and quickly. I am very happy with their service and product. Thank you also I want to add that they went above and beyond by attaching the vent to my hot water heater without asking. It had been an issue for awhile, being installed by another company.

I have a service contract with Blue Flame Oil this season for the first time. I have found all of their technicians to be competent, efficient and pleasant.
