Stage Stars Dance and Acro started off as a place where we could let our daughter do what she loved to do, dance. Little did we know, shortly after joining the studio that this community would transition into another layer of our family. The proper technical training, conceptual growth and the motivation and encouragement our daughter receives from the teachers are the perfect formula for success.
Although a long term career or pathway to dance is always exciting, this program focuses first on building confidence, encouraging others, working as a team and understanding the technique first and foremost. Services
A studio to become your very best self. Our dance studio is the perfect place for a young child to take their very first dance class and a professional environment for the more serious dancer to receive top-notch training. Located in Hockessin, Delaware, we offer ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, contemporary, lyrical, pointe, acro and all boys classes for ages 3 through 18! We also have adult classes.
Dance is the movement of the body in a rhythmic way, usually to music and within a given space, for the purpose of expressing an idea or emotion, releasing energy, or simply taking delight in the movement itself. Our Twinkle Stars program for ages 2 - 6 will introduce your dancers to ballet, tap, jazz, and hip-hop.
Though we do compete, the primary focus is to instill performance, discipline, fun, and life lessons to be used long after they are done dancing. Some notable performances include the half-time show for the Harlem Globetrotters, Dance the World at Walt Disney World and Resort, and a spot at a 76ers game in Philadelphia!

I can’t recommend SSDA enough. My daughter has been dancing there since she was 6. (She is 10 now) Her growth is impressive, not only as a dancer but as a little human as well.
Angie, the studio director, and the teachers foster a very healthy and fun environment, where the girls are supportive of each other and every dancer is celebrated for their achievements and hard work.

My daughter has been dancing there since she was 5 and now she is 12. She is in love with the dance program and always looks forward to being there. The director Angie and her team are very talented. They care and love our kids, and help them teach their goals. We couldn't be happier with our experience at Stage Stars Dance and Acro!!

Stage Stars Dance and Acro is much more than a dance studio my daughter learns life lessons what it means to win or loose how to work as a team, how to support her team mates and to treat one another with respect. The teachers are amazing and foster a positive environment, these are life long friendships being built and strengthened every day!

Teachers are amazing. They are understanding, skilled, experts in their discipline and they meet each student at their level. They not only nurture them but challenge them to help each student reach their potential. We are a family and every student feels the love and acceptance. My daughter joined 5 years ago and we would not want to be anywhere else
