Dr. David C. Montz grew up in Friendswood, Texas. After graduating with honors and in the top ten from Friendswood High School in 1987, he attended Texas A&M University in College Station, TX where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Science in 1990.
He then attended the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston-Dental Branch (UTHSC) where he earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1996, and all the while serving as class president.In 1997, he completed a one year residency program at UTHSC and received a post graduate Certificate in Advanced Education in General Dentistry.

I hate the dentist and had a horrible experience 6 years ago and avoided going to the dentist for a long time. Dr. Dunwoody and Allison did an amazing job making me comfortable and taken care of. They listened to my concerns and took a detailed history of past events and then made sure that every step they took to help me was well explained. I never felt more secure and Allison particularly made me feel safe in a dental office. Not only is they dental care amazing all the personal is super nice and put the patients first.

Best dentist office I've ever been to. They put you at ease and make you feel comfortable even if you have a phobia of dentist office or surgery in general. Highly recommend to anyone who has apprehension of going to the dentist. Dr Dunwody is an amazing dentist. Everyone I've had interaction with at the office is kind and goes above and beyond to make sure that you have as comfortable an experience as possible. Five stars is not enough for the work they have done for me.

Dr. Dunwoody is a great dentist,If you have had bad dental experiences in the past or present like I have you want with her. Her stuff is also great I just had my cleaning by Martha she is excellent and I’ve had Allison in the past for my deep cleaning they are both great dental hygienist. I highly recommend them A +++++++++++++++

I was looking for a new dentist and Montz & Maher Dental had come highly rated from several friends. I am so glad that I tried Montz & Maher Dental and have found my new dentist! All of the staff here are so friendly and kind. Dr. Montz was personable and caring, taking the time to explain everything. I never felt rushed. For most of my visits I have had Allison as my dental hygienist and she has been so wonderful! I have very sensitive teeth and she takes the extra time to make sure that I'm comfortable in my teeth cleanings. I would definitely highly recommend Montz and Maher Dental!

I can’t say enough about how wonderful my experience was. The staff is all so wonderful and compassionate. The facility is beautiful and had state of the art technology at every twist and turn. If you’re looking for a dentist, Dr. Maher is the best you’ll find. My hygienist, Courteney, was so knowledgeable and professional.

Montz and Maher has got the latest and greatest in high tech equipment and the staff is soooo friendly and knowledgeable. I can't rave enough about Allison & Dr. Dunwody! From the moment I first walked in, I immediately felt at ease and like family. I went for Invisaline but they found a cracked tooth and a broken filling as well. How nice it is to have a dentist who can diagnose, address and fix all my dental needs in one place. This practice does it all in the most comfortable of settings. Highly recommend!

I visited the friendswood office as I encountered and broke filling. The staff was extremely helpful and very quick. Checked in with the front desk associate Alyssa, she was very responsive. She put me down and I waited no longer than 10 minutes. Got to the back and all the staff members were very professional and made the atmosphere a place you enjoyed to be at. Got started with a sweet lady named Martha introducing her self to me and taking X-rays, cleaned my teeth and assessed the damaged areas. I was then approached by Allison while in the room greeting me and checking if I needed anything
