I have managed food service in large healthcare facilities for 30 years and I’ve never seen more substandard food, management incompetence, lack of training for culinary staff or lack of concern regarding the quality, nutritional adherence to prescribed diets or overall balance of meals in my career as I’ve seen at Atlantic Shores. My brother was admitted malnourished, underweight and weak and has celiac disease. In spite of conversations with Wendy, the administrator, dietitian, food service staff and several nurses, he continued to get gluten with his meals. He also received meals with no

My Mom has been there almost a year in the long term section. Their activities are awesome, they keep her very busy. The care is great and so is the staff.

Some caring employees BUT this place was about as bad as it gets. My relative was there 19 days...only showered her on last day. 11 days-no sponge bath. Higher ups did not return calls until threatened with elder neglect charges. Disconnected relatives call button when they got annoyed. Let relative stay in same clothing for few days. Understand understaffed but this was definitely neglected. DO not ever place family here.

Clean facility. I have seen several LTC places and this is the best. I have seen how the residents are cared for and I can say as a health care provider, they receive excellent care. The CNA’s and Nurses rock.

My experience with Atlantic Shores Rehab is a mixed review. My mother went there for rehab and the rehab center did a great job with her and she was happy with them. My only recommendation I would make is that the communication needs to be much better. Unless I made the call to check in or talk to her Social Worker which was great, I didn't get informed of what was going on even up to the point of her discharge. So Communication needs to be improved. I still want to thank Atlantic Shores for the care of her my mother because overall she was pleased.

Just dropped off a loved one at Atlantic Shores. Staff was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. We felt so relieved when we left as we knew our family member would be well taken care of by this staff.
