The Makeup Addict is a growing team of licensed cosmetologists and professional makeup artists in the Raleigh and Charlotte areas. Services
Our Raleigh studio is located on Hargrove Road. We create an exclusive experience for our clients. Our space includes a plush sofa, oversized ottoman and snack bar along with an array of other amenities. During your trial appointment, this space is exclusively yours. You are also able to reserve this space for your wedding day.

I used the Makeup Addict for my wedding and it could not have gone better! Before the wedding, the Makeup Addict worked with my timeline and made sure there were enough artists to complete hair and makeup for 7. The artists showed up early and were set up and ready to start on time and they finished on time. The ladies the day of were so nice and the hair and makeup for the bridesmaids and the bride turned out gorgeous! I highly recommend the Makeup Addict!!

We used The Makeup Addict for hair and makeup services for our November wedding, and we are so glad that we did! Ambria made the process easy from beginning to end, and the team she sent over was professional and ridiculously talented. Stacie and Abigail were our hair stylists, Emily was our makeup artist, and they truly exceeded my expectations! Abigail looked at one picture of what I wanted for my bridesmaids and recreated it perfectly, every single time. Stacie did the same but she also surpassed my over the top bridal hair vision, which I did not think was possible. Emily is truly an artist

If I could give 0 stars I would. This company is very unprofessional and does not care about their customers on what many consider their most important day. I was in a wedding party of 8 when on the day of the wedding both the hair and make up girl did not show up. We were notified via EMAIL not a phone call and then the assistant only would communicate via TEXT. An apology was never once given and 3 hours later they sent a girl out to do hair and make up for a group of 8 now having half the time.

I chose this company not only for their great work, but also because they are extremely responsive and accommodating to my requests. Even though wedding season is super busy, they treated me like a client and not a number. I appreciate that because planning a wedding is stressful. I highly recommend them!!

I was in a wedding party this past weekend and the hair and makeup team were AMAZING!!! They arrived early to setup and completed everyone early enough to stick around for touch ups before the ceremony. Our makeup was flawless and it stayed throughout the day into the evening. The hairstylist listened to what we wanted and executed every style perfectly. I can’t say enough great things about them. If you are looking for a hair and makeup team, BOOK THEM!!!

Used them for my wedding, they did a decent job however as the bride paying for the services I was not given priority for my hair/makeup nor were we ready at the requested time. My photographer had to wait around for them to even get started on my hair/makeup to get my getting ready footage. I was not satisfied with the way they did my eyebrows. I did not receive a touch up kit like the contract said I would get. Highly overpriced for the service I got, would not use them in the future.

I had a wonderful experience working with Ambria and her team for my wedding. For my original wedding it was just my sister and I who would have needed hair and make up and I had difficulty finding a vendor who would work with just the two of us but Ambria was flexible and willing to provide services at my venue for just the two of us. Moving forward after postponing our wedding, Ambria was extremely flexible through date changes as well as having to cancel my sister's services since she could not make it. Ambria and her team were also flexible about changing my date and time, even just a week

Ambria runs an extensive makeup course, makeup service and beautiful studio. She's wonderful to work with and is very thorough and patient with her students. She's incredibly professional yet personable so every experience is polished while relaxing. What I love most besides the gorgeous finish is that she offers tips on useful products for various skin types. The Makeup Addict is awesome. Ambria does a great job at listening and actually applying my makeup as I'd prefer. I host events but not really a fan of heavy makeup...as I say to her "I want to look natural". She's an artist that I can work with when I want to have a look that simply enhances my features or if I want something more dramatic and fun! It's great to have found a professional who knows how to cater to their clients needs.

A teacher of this school/company is a know fraud and scam artist she has been stealing other talented and established artists images and posting them as her own on social media. While also claiming to have worked on TV shows that she has never even stepped foot on set for. I would steer clear of this fraudulent company at all costs. If you want to learn the art of makeup go to a real established makeup school with artists that actually work in the business.

There is an artist who manages this business that states she has worked on The Walking Dead. She uses this to sell classes for special effects, and even went as far as photoshopping herself over the original artist of the zombie portrayed. The Photoshop in itself is terrible, and in a world with so much fraud, the owner should really do something about the theft of photos and idea of selling classes based on lies. I am not sure if the CEO is aware of what is going on, it seems like a small business, but knowing this and going forward, I have to ask: if you cannot trust your artist with Facebook
