Services
Our efficiently run collision repair facility is staffed with state certified repair technicians who are regularly submitted to ongoing industry education and training. Our facility consists of 4 Chief EZ-Liner frame machines, a Genesis laser measuring system for accurate frame specifications, and 4 down-draft paint booths equipped for perfectly refinishing a vehicle's factory paint finish.
Vehicles being prepped for sale in the coming days/weeks with prices, photos, and more information to be posted ONLY at that time. Some of these vehicles can be seen in their current conditions at our shop, while other vehicles have been purchased, but are not here yet (please call for current availability).
Free detailed estimates are provided during our daily business hours for all vehicle makes and models. Please arrive 30 minutes before closing for this service. D & A Auto Body offers FREE loaner cars to customers while their vehicle is being repaired in our facility, as long as existing insurance does not already cover a rental car.
As one of Southwest Michigan's largest collision repair shops, we are always interested in finding highly qualified individuals to add to our team. I had my car serviced here twice. The first time was a seamless, pleasant experience but the second, and most recent time was futile and disappointing. First and foremost, I called ahead (~2 weeks) to schedule an appointment for repair (describing everything in detail--the wiring issue and that the interior lights no longer work, etc.).

Excellent service! Randy went above and beyond to restore our truck after it was stolen. He treated our truck like it was his own and kept us informed with each step of the process. Everyone we dealt with was very friendly and helpful from the very first interaction to the very last interaction. The work they did on it is perfect, it looks like a brand new truck!

Absolutely great place I do not go to shops as a milwright who restores cars but with an insurance claim you have to. Great customer care attitudes service and quality of work. The loaner car was nice and they suprised me by detailing my pickup for free. It wasnt this clean when i got it from the dealership! And insurance work or not the total price was extreamly reasonable

On a windy day in 2015, my rear window on my minivan flew out while I was pumping gas -- I opened the door, enough wind went through the van popping the back window flap out and sent it skidding across the parking lot like it was wind surfing! As a result of losing the window, I had to make an insurance claim and had it repaired at D & A. They replaced the window. ..... Fast forward to 2019......, the window's weather stripping failed. I contacted D & A, and they made an appointment for me the next week because it would take an hour of time to fix, and they fixed it for free --

Have always used D&A for minor Deer, large Raccoons etc repairs (one time a deer ran into my stopped vehicle).
With all plastic or composite parts on newer vehicles repair costs can go up quickly. I've always felt that any work performed is quality by D&A.
A time my sons car had to get body repair he went to one of those Walmart style shops on about every block (exaggerated but you know them). Work was completed poorly and the atmosphere was a production line mentally, just a money grab.
If Toyota hadn't bought back his truck for rusted out frame it was going back to get the

From the very beginning we received good customer services. They were thorough and clear. They even went farther then what we were expecting. We were working with insurance to cover a separate issue that had happen a couple years prior and it was a minor fix in our eyes but our insurance wouldn't cover that on top of what the car was being fixed for. We talked to the auto body shop to see how much that part would cost but in the end we decided we couldn't fix it and D&A went ahead and fixed that part of the car too. I very seldom write reviews, but my experience was so bad with this auto body that I felt I wanted to share my opinion. My experience with d and a Auto body was dishonesty, lack of accountability and integrity, and poor at meeting deadline.
Customer service I received was extremely condescending, in front end loaded to get the business. When it came to delivery the work was late, not as agreed upon, and rude.

This review is long overdue. I have been so extremely impressed with the level of service, quality of work, and communication from D&A. We've had the unfortunate experience of an accident, deer, and TURKEY collisions and knew where to go every time. They actually even went up to Grand Rapids and brought my truck back to Portage to work on it for me, since it was not drivable. The work they performed was top notch. I would not go anywhere else. Was looking for an auto shop after I got into a pretty bad car accident and wrecked my car. But I absolutely needed a place that could provide a rental car. A friend recommended this place, and I was pleasantly surprised. I received a rental car for an estimated 2-week long repair. During that time, when my rental car started acting up, I contacted D&A and let them know that I was stuck at work with the rental which wouldn't start. I've worked with various dealers and service shops and D&A is hands down the best I've ever dealt with. Not only great service but honest people. I recently had my vehicle in for what I assumed was an exhaust leak. Instead of taking advantage of my lack of understanding of the problem, they told me what they actual issue was and it saved me hundreds. My family has always been big fans of D&A and I will continue to be as well.

Misty at the front is very helpful. My estimator, John, was in contact with me thru the process. There was a 2 week wait time for repair because of all the accidents from the snow in January but they lifted my front bumper and repaired my door so I could drive my car just fine during the two week wait. I also was given a free clean rental car during the repair week. Oh and my car was completely detailed upon pick up! Worth the wait!
Service center also WAY cheaper for oil

This place looks nice upon first look. The front office is clean and decorated in old-fashioned metal signs. But they did a TERRIBLE job of painting my truck after an accident. They left drips and bubbles and it looks like they painted over tape on an area that didn't even need painting. Then the staff member argued with my husband on how the insurance worked. You would think that someone who worked with insurance companies regularly would know what they were doing, but the insurance company admitted to us that my husband was correct. I was a little nervous to come here at first. When choosing an auto shop, I like to do a little research and pick a place myself, usually based on customer testifies and location. However, this is the only shop in the Kalamazoo area that my insurance company has a warranty agreement with.
I have decent insurance and I trusted that if they're willing to partner up with these guy, they probably do honest work. And they did.
