Shooting Stars (SSD) has been established for 30 years. Formally known as Joan Crawford, we took on the name Shooting Stars in 2002. The studio itself started in an 800 square foot studio and now is operating from a 10,000 square foot, state of the art facility. The studio now has 3 large dance rooms, a work study room and operates with sprung floors, TV monitors to watch your child's classes, as well as viewing windows.
Shooting Stars Dance offers a wide range of classes for children ages 3-11 focusing on dance technique, rhythm, flexibility, and discipline. Below here you will find your class day, time & price. We offer a complimentary dance trial for new students. The purpose of the class is to introduce young dancers to the three styles of dance and inspire movement and creativity within a positive environment.
If you are looking for a more intense dance program with more performance opportunities, consider becoming a part of our competitive team. Shooting Stars Dance Elite Team offers competitive teams for all ages and levels in each of our dance genres. Members of our competitive team have received scholarships to some of the country's top Universities, have starred on Broadway, toured in various shows, "So You Think You Can Dance?" and more.

My nine-year-old daughter is entering her third season with Shooting Stars Elite dance company and it has truly been a joy to watch her develop and blossom as a dancer and performer each passing year. Coming from a long career as both a professional dancer and instructor, I definitely came to SSD with high standards in mind. To say that I have been impressed would truly be an understatement. The level of instruction, guidance, knowledge, experience, creativity, skill, dedication and inspiration has been outstanding!!!

This is our fourth year at Shooting Stars and we absolutely love it there! My oldest is 6 and starting her 3rd year on company. My littlest is 2 and taking a weekly class with Ms. Tana. The quality of instruction at SSD is top notch. Miss Melissa is strict and pushes them to do their best, but also loves these kids and makes it fun for them too. I've seen such incredible progress in not only my daughter's dance ability, but her work ethic and sportsmanship as well. It has really become a wonderful family for my daughters. The older girls are truly fantastic and are amazing role models and friends

We have been at Shooting Stars for the last 5 years. My daughter started in the weekly classes and then joined the competitive team 3 years ago. I now have my younger daughter in the weekly classes as well. I really can’t say enough good things about SSD. The training the children receive is the ABSOLUTE BEST around, the work ethic they gain, friendships that become a second family is like NO OTHER! Miss Melissa truly loves the kids and puts her heart and soul into what she does and it shows! And Miss Tana is also amazing with the weekly kids, my little one just loves her. SSD is so much more

If you want to be a professional dancer, go to this studio and you will not be disappointed. If you are coming here just for fun, and to learn the basics of dance, I recommend looking at a different dance studio. You will be overwhelmed by the immense amount of talent and skill it takes to do what these dancers do. Beware of what the posts below have said, but do not let them discourage you.

I had such high hopes... My daughter and I were both excited for a full season of high level competitions and serious training. However, we decided to leave the team after the first competition because I neither of us could tolerate the environment here any longer. 8 months had been enough for us. We experienced many in-house problems... Lack of a schedule for long Saturday rehearsals, no one properly managing the books/payment system, inconsistent billing (I was paying more than my daughters classmates), young children left unsupervised for hours at a time causing damage to the facility.
