Rootstock, featuring Vintners Rooftop is primarily a Wine and Bourbon bar, located in the lively Downtown District of Woodstock Ga. The venue offers a full bar with focus on wine from family owned, mostly organic vineyards. Rootstock hosts a modern kitchen, allowing them to offer gourmet food, including Tapas, Salad, Soup, Dessert and Charcuterie.
The building site is at the corner of Main Street and Towne Lake Parkway in the heart of Downtown Woodstock. This iconic corner originally housed the Woodstock Post office in the early 1900s. Services
A 2-story expansion to the existing building is expected to be completed Summer 2021. The plan came to light when owners, Sean and Anna Daily realized the constant struggle and need for more room to entertain the guests. We are more than a restaurant, we are an ideal spot for Select Whiskey, Live Music, Global Wine, and an impeccable date night.
The Woodstock Whiskey Club, north metro Atlanta's exclusive group for people who appreciate whiskey, bourbon and scotch, meets in the heart of downtown Woodstock at Rootstock Restaurant and Bar. This little gem of a restaurant is located in the heart of downtown Woodstock. They are so welcoming, accommodating and have the most friendly and professional staff. The food is phenomenal! And the ambience is like no other! They have an amazing restaurant downstairs restaurant, bar, and tasting room and upstairs is a totally different experience with live music they host private events, whiskey tastings, wine tastings, and so much more! They also have a rooftop bar! This place has something for everyone whether you like wine, bourbon, tapas, charcuterie or a five course meal with wine pairing

Went for dinner in the new dining room. Very disappointed. This is an expensive restaurant, so I expected an exceptional experience. Nope. SLOW service. It took over a half hour to get our salad. We ordered the market fish. That took another 45 minutes. The restaurant was nearly empty. The $30 entree was small. They charge an additional $3 for a pat of truffle butter as a topping. So not worth it. Will never return.

Our table was about 6 feet away from a stage and speakers pointed directly at our table. The room was already loud because of the high ceilings and zero acoustic panels to absorb the noise. We immediately went back to the host stand and asked to be moved. However, the only open table

Service, food and atmosphere all amazing! The pork belly starter should be on every table - freakin amazing. I don't write a lot of reviews but Rootstock deserves the attention. Every entree we ordered was delicious and the chefs care and dedication to their craft showed in every plate. Do yourself a favor - order the 5-cheese and Mac: you'll never want another Mac and cheese ever again! Every member of the staff was friendly and welcoming, and the decor and live music set the perfect tone. Thank you for a perfect dinner evening Rootstock! We WILL be returning soon!

This place is a great addition to Downtown Woodstock! Especially since they have expanded and opened another bar and music room upstairs. The owners Anna and Sean really care about their customer’s experiences and servers Julianna, Morgan and Joe are top Notch. David, the manager, also checks on guests and makes sure things are taken care of. Their secret weapon is Chef AJ and she constantly surprises with her menus, especially for the monthly wine and whiskey dinners. Music on weekends are a must. Rooftop views are amazing, when the rooftop bar is open. A must visit!!

Having been to Rootstock several times over the years, I decided it would be a reliable dining destination to host our August Girls' Night Out, despite it being a little outside of our supper club's zip code. Eight of us traveled up to Woodstock on a Tuesday night and the evening was a huge hit with all. Our server, Morgan, was timely and attentive to each of the diner's various requests. We started with a drink (impressive wine menu) and an assortment of the shareables, including the Share Dip, Tapas Plate, Chef and Cheese Boards. The star of the snacks for me were the Adobo Chicken

We have eaten here countless times and attended several Whiskey Tasting events but have never been during Brunch! As always, the food and service here is wonderful and does not lack on a Sunday morning! The biscuits and gravy are amazing and not your standard old sausage gravy dumped on biscuits! The Shrimp and grits have a ton of flavor and the broccolini adds a different twist to the normal shrimp and grits one usually serves. And how can one go wrong with $2 mimosas!

We went last and the service was GREAT! The atmosphere has a really cool feel to it. Also AJ the head chef knows how to make a great menu! When you go you should get the chef cheese board! It is exquisite! Also the bourbon is amazing too! If you guys are considering we suggest you go and you won't be disappointed!

Looking at moving to the Woodstock area and while looking at houses decided to stop in downtown Woodstock to check the vibe and Rootstock did not disappoint. Morgan was happy to answer questions about the area while providing awesome service.... we may have found our new home and Rootstocks great menu and drink selection along with Morgans helpfulness and attitude helped

Food and service were spectacular! We had the Tapas Plate, Bacon Wrapped Shrimp and Crispy Pork Belly with Boulevardiers If you get the chance, highly recommend sitting upstairs for the view and atmosphere. Live music was very enjoyable as well. Not too loud or rowdy. Just perfect! Definitely will be back.

TLDR: nice rooftop area with friendly customer service and nice drinks!
I came with a friend to Rootstock and we were immediately greeted and sat down on the rooftop. The rooftop is pretty spacious with a good amount of outdoor seating. I ordered the Moscow mule, which was nice and refreshing and he got a sour beer (that I think he enjoyed). Overall pretty good experience and would come again to try a different drink !

If I am not mistaken, out of all my reviews this is the first restaurant that I will rate with 5 *. Although I have been to all sort of places, even to those "fancy" ones, this is the first time I felt like everything wasn't good but great, decor, food, drinks and service all was on point. It is rare, in my experience, a restaurant that gets a ✅ on all boxes, you earned my 5*.

My friend and I called for a reservation and was told they were completely booked for the night and only had a table outside or a seat at the bar. When we got there there a few minutes later there were several open tables inside.
We were told we could sit at one of the open tables and we asked for a wine list. We ordered a recommended white wine and it was very citrusy and sour. We ordered our meal, the special of the day, filet with lentil cassoulet sweet chard and a mushroom gravy. When the food arrived I had no idea that they would stack everything on top of each other. It looked a mess.

I was so excited to get a to go adult beverage. Something fun. Called and they were out of an ingredient. No biggie, I'll take it anyway.
The take out situation isn't great here. They definitely aren't doing curbside but I think they could be. Have to park in the lot behind the restaurant which is not super convenient. This was the tiniest beverage I've ever seen. I am sure they are using standard pours but it just wasn't worth it. Tasted fairly weak.
