At Mountain View Eye Care, each member of our vision care team is selected by Dr. Deitrick and Dr. Smith based upon his or her experience, professional demeanor, and dedication to providing personalized care to our optometry patients. Our entire Mountain View optometry staff is committed to ensuring the comfort and satisfaction of each and every patient.
In an effort to make you more comfortable when you arrive at our office and to streamline the new patient process, you will be able to complete all the necessary items prior to your first visit. At Mountain View Eye Care, we strive to make sure the time we spend with you during your visit is quality time.
At Mountain View Eye Care, our goal is promote good eye health and enable you to have the clearest vision possible. We accept several types of vision insurance, cash, checks, and most credit cards. We inform our Mountain View patients about exam and treatment costs at the beginning of your appointment.
A routine exam can be a window into other health issues. Dr. Deitrick noticed a small retinal hemorrhage which concerned him enough to call my GP and set up an appointment. That led to a discovery of high blood pressure and blood sugar. Ended up having a heart catheter to address some blockages. Your eye health is not just about vision.
Dr. Deitrick, Dr. Smith, and the Mountain View Eye Care team take even routine eye exams very seriously. During a yearly or bi-yearly examination, our Mountain View patients will receive a patient history review, a series of vision and eye tests, assessments of eye focusing and movement, and an eye health evaluation.

Today was my first visit to see Dr. Dietrick at Mountain View Eye Care and I have to say from beginning to end it was friendly, professional, and I really felt like he took the time to make sure I got the care I needed. The rest of the staff was great also. I personally saw them clean all of the glasses I had touched to try on, sterilize the waiting room and their happy smiling faces were just what I needed. I highly recommend this facility!

Come by to get my eyes examined and new prescription. Insurance paid for exam and a set of cheap glasses. I asked for my prescription, and was told "everyone left, and no one can help me" and to come back some other time. I came back the next morning to get the eyeglass prescription. What they gave me was incomplete. I needed my PD to order glasses, and they told me I needed to pay an extra $25 for them to give me my info that they have already collected. Dr, and nurse tech werand prescription experience very poor. I'll be going elsewhere next year for my eye exam.

Mountain View Eye Care has taken excellent care of our family for over a decade. The staff and Dr. Deitrick have always gone above and beyond for our eye care needs! We recently needed a pair of glasses repaired on very short notice and they took care of us without hesitation. The new clinic is beautiful with a great selection of frames and sunglasses for all ages. Shop local and support our community!

Dr Deitrick and his staff at Mountain View Eye Care are great. They’ve taken care of me my entire life and now taking care of my children. Dr Deitrick is great with his patients and very knowledgeable. They have a brand new facility that is beautiful and have a really nice selection of Costa sunglasses if you’re looking for shades! 😎 Highly recommend!

This is the BEST eye care clinic! Our whole family uses Dr. Deitrick and he has been wonderfully kind with our 3 year old all the way up to our 85 year old grandparents. He is very educated and has saved my grandmother’s eyes and caught many details in my children’s vision. Highly recommended from our family to yours!

Dr. Deitrick and the staff at Mountain View Eye Care are fantastic! From the moment you enter the beautiful new building to the departure you are treated with kindness and genuine care! A great examination is provided every year by Dr. Deitrick. My contact lenses and eye glasses are prescribed to perfection year after year. The staff is also very attentive in returning phone calls and answering any questions I might have. It’s a stand out crew at Mountain View Eye Care. I would recommend them to everyone!
