We specialize in conducting thorough psychological evaluations on children in terms of their cognitive, academic, emotional and social as well as how they are adjusting in their foster home.
The purpose of a psychological evaluation is to address the reason for referral, which typically involves determining whether an individual meets the criteria for a diagnosable condition. The process typically involves a clinical interview, any documented history, and a battery of psychological assessments.
The Legacy Assessment Group accepts several forms of insurance or clients who are interested in paying out-of-pocket. In order to verify your insurance, please email your name, date of birth, insurance carrier, and insurance number to referrals@legacypsychology.com. If you have a change in insurance, please let us know as soon as possible, so we can ensure payment.
The length of a psychological evaluation depends on the age of the client and the reason for referral. For children, the assessment process should take approximately one to two hours. For adolescents and adults, the assessment process should take approximately two to three hours.

Run run run do not use this facility. First off the waiting area is not professional in appearance at all. The guy Michael Jafarzadeh came in carrying a child's back pack not a brief case and was dressed poorly. He could not sit still and kept going in and out of the office. Down the hall music was playing and so it made it difficult to stay focused. The test material was torn and wrinkles and he did not even have the sheet that he said he had planned on using so he replaced it with another form. Now as if all of that was not bad enough....in the assessment he called me Mrs Carter which Carter

My family and I were moving to a new city and we needed to get our two boy's IQs assessed for their school applications. Neither one of the boys had experienced an assessment before and Dr. J. and his team made the process pain free and easy. They boys enjoyed their time in their office and my wife and I were pleased on the quality of the reports.

Dr. J and all staff I have worked with at Legacy Assessment Group have always been extremely helpful and flexible when it comes to scheduling psychological evaluations for our clients. Additionally, all staff have demonstrated their passion for their work in the way in which they build rapport with our kiddos. Their welcoming and warm personalities put our clients at ease in order for the clients to feel comfortable and supported.
