Catalyst Environmental Solutions is a full service environmental consulting firm, specializing in the energy sector, land development and remediation, and water resources. Modern volcanology is often said to have started with the 1980 eruption of Mount St. Helens. This eruption was unusually well monitored and observed and subsequently studied by scientists from around the world. The establishment of the Monument protects and preserves the landscape around the volcano, allowing for study of the system response to this major perturbation.

We are built on the strength of our people. Throughout our regions of operation our technical leaders guide the mission, drive the vision and uphold our collective beliefs. Catalyst Environmental Solutions is looking for enthusiastic, self-motivated staff for technical and managerial positions. We are seeking scientists, engineers, managers, and innovators at all levels who are passionate about solving complex environmental problems.
Catalyst works closely with our clients and public agencies to prepare environmental constraints analyses, National Environmental Policy Act (and state equivalents) analyses, customized planning and compliance documents. We conduct contamination assessment and cleanup, with a focus on achieving the best use of the land.
Our work with energy spans its source (oil and gas production, transport, and terminals), generation (wind, hydroelectric, geothermal, and fossil fuels including natural gas, diesel, coal, and nuclear) and transmission. Our team is equipped to handle the environmental and policy aspects of any type of energy project.
Our team of experts are central to water resources issues, including advanced water treatment for beneficial use; dam relicensing and dam safety; fluvial geomorphology and sediment transport analyses; stormwater permitting, treatment and compliance; groundwater quality, quantity, and cleanup; and invasive species eradication and control.
Preserving our world's natural and cultural heritage is critical to who we are as a people. We have worked as part ofIUCN's Geoheritage Specialist Group, and the World Commission on Protected Areas (WCPA).

Our conservation and protected area management dream team helps identify and rank potential sites, prepare and manage applications, develop and implement protected area management plans and interpretive planning and provide expert advice and decision making analyses.
