Have you just started a new business? Did you know expenses incurred before a business begins operations are not allowed as current deductions? Generally, these start up costs must be amortized over a period of 180 months beginning in the month in which the business begins. However, based on the current tax provisions, you may elect to deduct up to $5,000 of business start-up and $5,000 of organizational costs paid or incurred.

My husband and I used Bearoff and Associates to file our 2018 business and personal taxes. I’ll forego all the banter and just say these guys were fantastic. At the 11th hour when other CPAs were rushing us off the phone saying, “sorry we’re swamped”, Meghan the receptionist put me on a brief hold. I sat on the line, patiently waiting for her to get back on and respectfully tell me to shove off but no! She told me that Tom could meet with me the following day.

Anthony is a truly astounding CPA. He works extremely hard and really puts in the time to assure quality service for all of his clients. He has been doing my taxes for years. He is very thorough and always does what is right by his clients. Best CPA in Montco - He'll have my business for a very long time!!
