The USA TaeKwonDo Center prides itself on knowing that each student is an individual and progresses at an individual pace. At the USA TaeKwonDo Center, we understand that becoming a Black Belt is more than being able to punch and kick. The USA Taekwondo Center was opened in the summer of 1994 by 8th Degree Black Belt and foreign action film star, Grandmaster Hwang Ki Baik.
Because of his unique manner of teaching through encouragement and inviting an environment, the studio quickly grew and flourished. By 1996 Instructor Monique Boore had become a part of the training staff. In the fall of 1998, Grand Master Baik moved to Oceanside, CA to open his 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Taekwondo studios and left the El Monte studio under the direction of Master Monique Boore.

Congratulations to all of our 2016 State competitors! We are so proud of you for your hard work and effort. Thanks for representing our school and continuing to carry on the legacy of bringing home the medals and doing it with good sportsmanship. The biggest reward we receive is when OTHER schools make remarks about our good attitudes regardless of what goes on in the ring!

This place seems so unorganized and unprofessional.
I came here last week and they were having class for little kids. A very young looking guy probably age 15-16 came out to talked to me. I asked him if I can talk to someone about school class schedule and pricing. And if we can stand and look at the class for about 10 minute before we sign up. He told me he can tell me about it. So i expected to go inside an office or at least a get a flyer. But nope, he stood by the door, told me class is like 4 Pm or 7pm and is 3 days a week. He say for a six year old he should attend the 7pm class. But he

This is a great gym with a great enviroment, coach Marlon is patient and will take time to explain all the drills and help you understand the reasons why you are doing the drills. If you have questions he will stay behind and help. Overall this gym is great and I would highly recommend it, whether you are a beginner or advance fighter looking to fight coach Marlon can help you.

I met coach Marlon a few years ago at a BJJ academy that we both attented and immediately bonded in regards to martial arts and so much more. Marlon lives and breathes martial arts, and when he invited me to come and train MMA here I instantly became addicted and never looked back. I come from a grappling background and have had the pleasure of doing both grappling and honing my very limited striking skills here.

My daughter and I go to the pm MMA class with coach Marlon. It's a great class. Once you start you get addicted to it. There's an and pm class. Coach is a very patient person and he will make sure you understand everything there is too know. He will work with you one on one till you understand. It's a very nice environment everybody is very friendly. We are family there. Coach Marlon is the best he knows what he is teaching us he motivates you to be the best you can. Coach Marlon makes this place truly awesome. He is a very dedicated and patient coach who pushes his students to their limit. My boyfriend had always wanted to train mma but was never entirely happy with the places he had gone to before. Once my friend referred us to coach Marlon, he truly felt comfortable and motivated. He started off not knowing anything and is now a lot more agile and driven to continue getting better. I've been fortunate enough to have been training here for the last 3 years. I don't come as often as I'd like to due to a busy work schedule. However, I'm always treated like family here. I would have to credit coach Marlon for that. Its been his mentorship and respect that has allowed many of us to mature and gain the confidence needed to become leaders in our every day lives. I started the MMA classes about 2 years ago and can honestly say it has been one of the best decisions I have made. Coach Marlon is an excellent trainer, motivator, and overall great guy. He has the skills and experience to help you reach your goals. Whether to get in shape, fight, or just learn to defend yourself. You can really see the passion he has for this sport and lights up when anyone walks in to train.
In my 2 years training I started out full of fear and only wanted to get in shape. Now I have slimmed down but I also have the skills and confidence to defend myself in an unwanted situation

This is a continuation of my last review. Like i was saying, one of the fighters from our academy was going to fight a student from USA Taekwondo Center. Our master did not coach the fighter from our academy out of respect for our current fighter who is sister of the student from USA tkd. The fight began and at the end of it THE ULTIMATE TKD FIGHTER WON, Obviously the kids from our academy got happy and started cheering for erika.
I seen Our master was watching the fight quietly not saying anything, but when it finished he got up and moved to another ring. And another instructor from our academy

Love this place. My son started when he was 4 years old in the preschool class which is focused on that age group and is only half an hour. Monique the owner really goes out of her way to greet and pay individualized attention to each child.
