I will start out saying that the service was prompt, on-time, and completed well and quickly.
My complaint, and the reason they are receiving two stars is because the repair technician refused to wear a mask despite my request for him to do so. His only response to my assertion that he wear a mask was that "He was on the other side of the fence on that one." If I did not have an urgent need for the work to be completed I would have turned him away immediately.
It is unprofessional and very disrespectful to deny my request that I make for my safety and the safety of my family. This action alone

Critical: Punctuality
I was happy to have received a technician response the same day with a 2 hour window of arrival. 20 minutes AFTER that 2 hour window, I received a call from the technician stating he will need to reschedule. For a local business I expect a little more than the service of Comcast.

I am torn as I write this. The owner and his son were very fast in their response to my plumbing needs. And I am thankful for them. However I do question the business practices used. The owner was not upfront about how long this service would take. They were done in less than an hour and charged a hefty amount and I never would have agreed to their service had I known it was only going to take an hour. The owner made it seem like a larger more bothersome job than it truly was. I would have politely declined and moved on. I do appreciate their speedy response time, but I will not be using them again

I Installed a new water heater in my house. I could not get it lit. I called Todd at St. Croix Plumbing to come over and check it out. I thought maybe I had installed it incorrectly. He diagnosed it quickly as having a faulty part. He suggested returning it to the store. I did that and got a different one. It was a lot of work. However, Todd was great! He called me back right away. He texted me telling me when he was 30 minutes out. And, he did not charge me for coming over! I offered to pay him something for his time but he refused. Wow! How often do you hear that! I would definitely recommend

Todd has done several plumbing jobs in my home, including installing a water softener, fixing a leaking second-floor shower drain and installing a shower on my main floor clawfoot tub. His work is always top-notch, he is very pleasant and professional, and I wouldn't hire another plumber because they just wouldn't measure up to St. Croix Plumbing!
