What is preventative dental care? Preventative dental care works very much the same way as steps you'd take to prevent any type of injury. When it comes to dentistry, preventative care is so important because it allows for a dentist to prevent injury, or in this instance, damage to the teeth. Any processes that cover diagnosis, examination, and treatment of teeth in order to harden and defend them against decay are considered preventative.
What is restorative dental care? Restorative dental care is best defined as the set of processes and procedures used to restore an original smile after it has been affected by decayed, infected, missing or otherwise damaged teeth. Typically, the most common restorative dental care involves the replacement of the damaged teeth.
What exactly is family dentistry? Family dentistry is a specialty within the field of general dentistry and it takes special skills to be able to service the youngest members of a household. At Lois Lombardo Dentistry, our dentists are specially trained to work with the needs of youngsters and we welcome the whole family into our office and take great pleasure in servicing all ages.

I love Dr. Lombardo, she's super-nice, provides great dental care and does a great job explaining treatment options, and her staff are just great. I think of Dr. Lombardo as a "dentist-social worker" because she really takes the time to advise patients on a cost effective treatment plan and is mindful of their economic situation. Each of the assistants and hygienists I've seen have been great. Paula has done my last 2 cleaning visits, and she's been informative, gentle, and so personable--she remembered everything we'd discussed 6 months prior! The receptionist, Heather

Lois Lombardo has been our dentist for 26 years, and we still have all of our teeth (except for wisdom, and a couple that had too many fillings). She has always been available in case of emergency, and her staff of dental hygienists has been pleasant and seem professional as well. Lois trained at Tufts University. Her office is clean and has modern equipment. The waiting room always has an assortment of magazines. Though wait times are so short, you never get to read them!

I LOVE Dr. Lombardo. My husband and I HIGHLY recommend her because she is the BEST! I used to be petrified of going to the dentist but I don't mind doing there because she goes above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable. When she repairs a tooth, or gives you a filling, she makes sure it doesn't interfere with your bite. You leave there feeling better, not worse which was our experience with other dentists. Her staff are wonderful. We truly feel fortunate to have her as our dentist.

I called to make appointments for myself and my husband. Let me just say that we move around a lot due to his job...we are originally from orlando where we typically get our cleanings during our visits home. We are not able to make it to Orlando for this 6 month check-up as we've been thrown some curve balls due to serious health issues (we've been in Andover area now for over a year)
When I advised the receptionist of this, she wanted to ask the dentist if she would accept us as new patients and would call me back....she did call me back and advised me that we've been denied

The best Dentist I have ever had And I had my appointment today 2-22-2014 for a cleaning and once again the Hygienist was Wonderful and she put me at ease right from the start and I alway hated to going to the Dentist but since I started going to Lois Lombardo DMD many years ago it's been Very Happy Pleasant Experience and wish I went to her sooner and so if your looking for a Dentist then look know further you won't be Disappointed in any way.

Sure this is a nice office, friendly dentist and very kind hygienist. don't expect anything beyond a good cleaning Dr. lombardo has proven to be very unobservant.
I am now at a different dentist only 6 months later and need several small fillings and a decaying filling replaced that she had done. you will be caught off guard I have no pain or discomfort but when it comes to your teeth preventative care is the key. help yourself and go see a different dentist now before you run in to a serious problem.

My family and I have been going to Dr. Lombardo for 8 years. Even though I now live 40 minutes away, I still make the trip to see Dr. Lombardo and her great staff every 6 months. Everyone knows you by name and remembers what was last going on with you the last time you were there (and not just your teeth!) They even have Saturday appointments, but they're hard to come by so make sure you get them while they last!

How often do you hear anyone say that they looked forward to a visit to their dentist? This is about as good as it can get, a highly professional, personable, caring staff , which is certainly representaive of Lois herself. Even when I had some heavy duty work done,it was performed with great sensitivity to my own comfort.
And, they love to kibitz about food and restaurants!

After having some dental work, besides a cleaning done, I felt it necessary to update. I am very happy with Dr Lombardo as my dentist. She is very kind, caring, and careful with her work. This was a filling (NOT a cavity!!) in one tooth. I have had similar work by a different dentist in the past, and it was nightmare-ish. But Dr Lombardo took care to make sure I was okay during the entire procedure. In addition, she was very careful to make sure that my teeth/bite was not affected by the filling and it feels like nothing is different than before the filling, yay! They always remember something

I highly recommend Dr. Lombardo's office. I was looking for someone to take my daughter (now 8) to a few years ago and Lois was recommended to me by an acquaintance. My daughter was afraid of going to the dentist because she thought it would hurt, but the hygienist assured her that she would be very careful and would not hurt her. She didn't and we are still going to them 5 years later. The experience was so great, that I switched dentists and go there myself. A+++++

I have a serious fear of dentists, needles, and all things medical. So, finding Lois for my dentist was a very good thing. She takes the time with me to make sure that everything is going alright and that I'm not in discomfort. The rest of the staff knows about me (I've fainted three times at the dentist) and makes sure to check in on me and see how things are going.
Getting an appointment has never been a problem for me and they always cheerfully greet you as you walk in.
They also have a little treasure chest for the little kids to pick from after they've had an appointment
