As someone who works for one of the largest dealerships in San Diego I use to recommend this location to several of my customers but not anymore. I purchased a new car in April called the location and updates my info. I was emailed temporary proof of insurance for 30 days but nothing changes on my online account. After the 30 days passed I checked my online account because I still had not received insurance cards and my old vehicle was on the policy with no proof of insurance for the one I was currently driving. Worst Agent Ever! I wish that I can put negative star!
My husband is active military member and we were stationed in oversea for over five years. Finally we came back and went back to State Farm for our new vehicles insurance. We had been loyal to State Farm all the time and we didn’t really had issue. Even there was, once we talked to agents, they fixed right away. We got really high quote by online, and by our address, we were assigned to Ashton.
Our premium was 16 year old kid in super sports car price. We have contacted her by phone, text and email, but always take forever to get reply

If you're looking for a State Farm agent, look elsewhere. I moved from out of state where I had a great agent and choose this agency since it was local and female owned. Even getting a quote took me following up and I should have moved on at that point but I realize how busy and overwhelmed these agents are. Chris McMurry is the Agent I've worked with since the beginning. Chris is super nice, professional and personable. Chris helped me to stay insured and within my budget. Great communication too. I can always call, text or email. Chris is super accessible.
Last week when I needed to add a new car to my policy. I called the office. Chris was on break. Erin was the one that picked up the call. Erin was able to help me add the new car and remove a vehicle in less than 5 minutes. Super fast.

Such a smooth and tranquil transition Chris made my switch to State Farm. I had a poor experience at Nationwide and was calling around to see about going a different route. Ashton Ellis is the most incompetent agent ever! Ashton is un-organized, useless, lazy, blamed her employees for failure of any issues regarding insurance claims. Previous agent Dale was 100 times better than her. She does not know how to file a claim correctly. If I could give negative rating, I would. She does not know what is going on in her own office. My family and I have had 5 or more vehicles insured through this office for 30+ years. The original agent was Dale who has passed away, he was amazing beyond explanation. Since then, another gentleman took over who was also helpful. Ashton has been a complete disappointment and very demeaning to say the least.

My uncle, Doug Karrel, was my insurance agent from the day I got my license in 1985. Ashton inherited his office shortly after his death in 2015, and the level of customer service I'm used to receiving has suffered.

Who writes reviews about their insurance agent right? I have had this young lady for 4 years now and I have to say I was not surprised to see her in the program to open her own agency. From day one she has gone out of her way to help me navigate my insurance options. I currently have my Car, Earthquake and Renters policies with her. She recently pointed out that I am in the last qualifying year for a Life policy that would be pretty beneficial.
