Our Standard Fertilization Program provides six (6) year-round lawn treatments using quality, commercial-grade fertilizers that are safe for you and your family.

We offer a personalized lawn service approach you won't find at any of the large chain lawn care companies. We're proud to be a local family-owned and run business ready to make your family's Schenectady property lush and green. We know the soil, rain and temperatures in upstate NY including Schenectady, and we work with your existing grass to ensure your Schenectady lawn will thrive.
At Customized Turf Services, we take a year-round approach to maintain exceptional results. Slow release fertilizer to help improve color. Treat for emerging weeds and apply crabgrass control to add a second barrier of protection. A nutrient restoring fertilizer is applied. We also inspect for turf damaging insects and treat for nutsedge, spurge and any crabgrass that emerged.
The Customized Turf Standard Program consists of 6 annually planned, regularly scheduled visit per season; Spring to Fall. Your lawn will be carefully inspected and serviced. Your lawn will be treated at regular intervals (weather permitting) between the months of April and November each year.
The property owner or owners' agent may request the specific date or dates of the application(s) to be provided and, if so requested, the pesticide applicator or business must inform of the specific dates and include that date or dates in the contract.Inform us in writing if you'd like the specific dates of application.

Customized Turf Services pride themselves on being environmental stewards. This practice entails applying the right product at the right time to control target weeds in and around your lawn. This is often called IPM - integrated pest management. Weed control - combined with regular fertilization, proper mowing and correct watering practices - will keep the grass thriving while the weeds disappear.
You cannot eliminate the tick population with just 1 application. These species (about 850 species) like many insects have a life cycle from egg to larvae (larvae, which have 6 legs) to young adult (nymph, which have 8 legs) to full adult stage. The time of completion of a life cycle varies from less than a year to over 3 years in colder climates.
