Services
Our Mission is to support working parents and serve our community by providing quality child care in a secure, healthy environment which promotes growth and learning in all areas of child development. Our Vision is seeing a community that thrives when its families' needs are met, and when children develop a lifelong love of learning, fostered by their earliest teachers.
Jenn's love for children began early in her high school years soon after her little brother was born. She enjoyed watching him grow, learn, and explore the world around him. Jenn enrolled in the Human Services Program at the Hartford Area Career and Technology Center during the last two years of high school.
The Children's Center is a year round program open to children 6 weeks up to entering Kindergarten. We currently have an infant room, three infant/toddler rooms, and two preschool classrooms. Your child's age, developmental stage, and the composition of the classroom, are all taken into consideration when determining placement.
The Children's Center of the Upper Valley is actively seeking grant funding to promote our Healthy Kids Campaign. Some funding has already been received through the HEAL Grant and the HNH (Healthy New Hampshire) Foundation. The Healthy Kids Campaign is a strategic effort to increase the community's capacity to address the issue of childhood obesity and promoting healthy lifestyles among young children and families in the Upper Valley.

My daughter has been going here since she was 3 months old now going on 3 years and I couldn't be happier! Every teacher she has had, is and was amazing. My daughter loves this school and I can't thank the staff enough for all they do every single day. They are all helpful, caring, sincere, patient and thoughtful. So thankful for this center!!!

My children have gone here for 2 separate durations. The first time, my son was in the infant program and was underfed throughout his time there to the point that we went to the doctor's because he ate constantly at home but wasn't gaining weight. This second and final time, my son is now 2 and has been repeatedly coming home with bite Mark's and the school does nothing. My daughter (3) has a blonde woman that I refuse to call a teacher that feels that yelling at a group of 3 year olds is proper conduct. At this rate I'd like to start an investigation into abuse and negligence.

My son when two CCUV for the month of June. I am so glad I switched!! My son was having a terrible time adjusting here and he clearly was not happy, so I switched and since I switched, I had a previous employee contact me and tell me she was happy I left because she saw my son being mistreated. Not physically abused, but said that they do not know what they are doing, they would try and FORCE him to take a nap when he was too upset to nap and they would do nothing to console him. I have contacted DHHS.

My daughter has been going to this daycare for awhile now, and at first I had my reservations as a new single mommy worried to leave my daughter in the hands of complete strangers! But saying that, I chose this daycare for it's phenomenal reviews. My daughter has had her ups and downs (like any child) with daycare, but I really do trust the staff at this daycare. Each one of them I have gotten to get to know on one level or another; some very well, while others just a little. But I can tell that the majority of the staff at this daycare are good people and do the best they can to care for the children

I will start this review saying there are maybe 2 -3 teachers that are pleasant but beyond that this center is a horrible choice for your family. I had my child here for about 2 years total. The first 1.5 years was great, no issues, my son loved it. Things drastically changed in the last 5 months that are completely unacceptable. I addressed concerns with the director and the board, wrote an 800 word letter to the board giving insight of my concerns. Nothing was done. There is straight up safety and neglect concerns with this center. My son who I pulled from the center mid week with no back up
