Recently, I had a new vinyl sea wall installed next to my existing (old) one. Generally, I was very pleased with the work they did but was disappointed in Jared Gorman's communication skills - or lack of. On several occasions I tried to contact him about an issue I had about the job. Sometimes he would return my calls but many times I would wait 5-6 days for a return call. In frustration, I called Jared's father, Gary Gorman, owner of Gorman Marine, to explain my frustration and magically I would get a call or visit from Jared Gorman. RJ put in a boat lift for me. It was special order as I wanted to lift 2 jet skis as well as a pontoon boat. It took a long time between the order and installation but it was worth the wait and came in costing me less than their competitors in Panama City.

Jared was very knowledgeable about how to approach our project and honest about the timing, except that he was able to begin and complete the project many weeks earlier than he promised. Contacted RJ Gorman to get work done on our dock on St. Joe Bay: move a finger pier and a set of steps and install a kayak lift. Worked with Gary and from start to finish the experience was top notch. The crew completing the work to move the finger pier and stairs did high quality work and were courteous and eager to ensure that all work was completed timely and to our satisfaction. The installation of our kayak lift was also completed to our satisfaction despite the fact that the company had never before installed a set of two KayaArms for a kayak lift. Gary’s team did a fantastic job on my lift installation. I had a larger boat and needed a 20,000 lb lift. They coordinated closely with me to order the correct sized lift, schedule the install, kept me informed on progress, and did the install, including removal of pilings that were obstructing the lift. Everything worked perfectly. Quality team that goes above and beyond to deliver great service.
