Services
The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Dental Association all recommend that a child see the dentist for the first time around his/her 1st birthday. This allows our team to develop a positive relationship with your child early on. We will evaluate your child's dental health, habits and dental development, making recommendations to prevent dental disease.
Sealants are a BPA free plastic material applied to the chewing surfaces of permanent molars. These grooves can be deep and can even be narrower than a single bristle of a toothbrush. Sealants are very effective in preventing cavities on the chewing surface of the teeth. Sealants are easy for dentists to apply and an easy procedure for your child to have.
Fluoride is a natural mineral found in foods and water and is an important part of preventing cavities. The American Dental Association (ADA) and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) recommend three fluoride sources for children. Your child will receive a fluoride treatment every six months when scheduled here for a regular dental checkup.
SDF is a colorless liquid containing silver particles and fluoride ion. SDF kills the bacteria that cause tooth decay. This is an alternative treatment to traditional fillings and offers a non invasive way to control certain cavities. This painless treatment can buy time until a child can tolerate a restoration in the future or until the baby tooth falls out.
Also known as laughing gas, you parents may have had this at one of your own dental visits. A lower, more appropriate and safe dosage is used on children. Nitrous oxide reduces the ability to sense physical or mental discomfort and can make time seem to pass more quickly. A nose mask delivers a mixture of nitrous oxide and oxygen.

This was our second visit. The first time went great with no issues, but today was a different story. There’s a sign on the front door indicating that the CDC requires masks in medical facilities, however the receptionist (Holly) was not following their own posted rule, and none of the staff took the initiative to remind her to. When you work in a healthcare setting where the majority of your clientele is still too young to get vaccinated, not wearing a mask is highly irresponsible and unprofessional behavior. I’ve been twice with my toddler and we’ve loved both experiences! They’re always ready for us right when we walk in, take great care at prepping him for the experience (he’s 2), and always give him a prize after the appointment. Today before he went down for his nap he said, “I love the dentist!”, which I’ve personally never said. We’ll keep going as long as we live here!!

This is such an amazing dental and orthodontist practice. Everyone is so friendly and nice. The drs and the dental assistants are very patient with my daughter as she is scared when it comes to dental treatments. They are very welcoming and let me be with my daughter for all of her appointments. I am so glad we found Golden Kids!
