Our full service clinic provides many kinds of routine care; including wellness visits, sick visits, diagnostics and surgery, dentistry, geriatric medicine, and Direct Release. You can make large animal appointments island-wide, with Dr. Shannon seeing your animal from our fully-equipped mobile unit.

The doctors and staff at Kaua'i North Shore Animal Clinic are committed to providing high level care for large animals on the island. Dr. Shannon Moreaux brings decades of veterinary experience to Kauai's large animals. Our practice features a full-service in-house laboratory, we can process bloodwork and other diagnostic screenings for your large animals the same day so that you get answers quickly.
If you are planning to bring an animal to Kaua'i, you should know that our state governs the import of all animals to keep Hawaii rabies-free. Kaua'i North Shore Animal Clinic has been approved by the State of Hawaii to inspect animals at the Lihue Airport for Direct Release to owners who have met the State Requirements.

My 3 year old lab had developed a bad cough and needed to be seen ASAP. All other clinics were full but Kauai North Shore Animal Clinic fit me in same day. Everyone was very attentive, kind and thorough and honestly I don’t think my pup was in a hurry to leave, haha! The space is quite lovely (and loving) and calming, and I enjoyed relaxing out front in one of their rocking chairs while Mr. B was being cared for.

I needed to get my dog inspection for travel out of Kauai and they where able to get me in same day which I appreciated. I clearly identified that I needed to travel tomorrow and they offered a "rush" inspection for a modest additional rise from $65 to $90 - which I agreed too. After driving from Kapaa an assistant came to the car and informed me that the charge was now $180. At this point my back was against the wall. I had already driven 30 minutes and could not fly my dog out tomorrow without it. This whole transaction was unsettling to me so I called back and spoke with Jessica after I had

Having to make the decision to put a horse down is a heart breaking extremely difficult. After trying to save my horse for a year and spending thousands of dollars on tests and consulting with three different vets I was forced to shoot my horse because I couldn’t produce medical records for your vet to come humanely euthanize my horse. Dr. Bart… Bottoms was called numerous times in the last week but has moved to he mainland and wasn’t returning my calls and Dr Scott Sims passed away. $390 to show up for an after hours visit!?!? Come on!!!!! This is Kauai and we are all doing

It is no secret that I call my black mare “the great love of my life”, so when she had a minor emergency a few days ago, it was such a tremendous relief to discover that we had a real large animal vet so close at hand on the North Shore!
