BRC Recovery was founded in 2006 to provide treatment for chronic relapsers and the treatment-resistant. High levels of structure and discipline, 12-step immersion, proven psychological treatment, and a commitment to holistic healing have been the foundation of our program since day one. Today, BRC serves as the parent organization of the BRC Family of Programs.

Deciding to seek treatment is a significant, life-changing decision, and your sobriety is our utmost priority. The BRC environment is a place where you will feel safe, comfortable, cared for and respected while you focus solely on recovery and getting well. Our clients recover from addiction and renew their mental health in a beautiful, well-appointed treatment center that lies on a rural 70-acre gated property 20 miles east of Austin, TX.
BRC stands for "Bringing Real Change, " and this principle guides our team in all of their decisions. We're committed to helping our clients create real change in their lives, and we can prove it. In 2016, we contracted an analytics firm to construct a clinical outcomes database, analyzing the results of our family of programs.
We love hearing how our addiction treatment programming has touched the lives of our clients. Below are a few of the messages we've received from the families and graduates of Mark Houston Recovery and BRC Recovery. I kinda' had a job. I kinda' had friends. I kinda' had a family. In other words, I had nothing.

BRC was the only facility or program that was able to explain to me what addiction really is and more importantly what I could do about it on a daily basis to treat the condition and break free from it's hold on me. I was never led into thinking relapse is normal or something I can afford to do again, I was never encouraged to spend my time avoiding triggers or managing "cravings," as most clueless places will do. I was shown how to change my actions, to be honest, to have integrity, to serve others, to face what I had been avoiding my whole life and begin healing, to take responsibility and grow

Almost seven years ago, I visited the BRC campus for a family weekend. Weeks prior, after an intervention by close friends and family, my child boarded a plane and flew halfway across the country to BRC. He took a suitcase along with his own surrender to the alcohol and drug induced life that was killing him. His hopes were to heal and experience a transformation emotionally, physically, and spiritually.
There is much to promote about both his and my experience with BRC. It is a premiere recovery center with high treatment outcomes. Their 12 Step Immersion Program. the Sober living experience

You know it's a scam when they won't give you any info and ask you to call them first. I thought I'd give it a chance though and let them know I would prefer to get pricing info before a phone call as I'm researching many facilities.
The admissions person I talked to (Matt Page) seemed understanding with this reply "I am happy to provide you with a quote once I receive the information needed to do so. Can you please provide with the first and last name of the patient mentioned in the email along with the date of birth and member

I am so grateful for BRC -the program, all the staff, the dedication to help and be consistent with this level of care is bar none. I have been associated with BRC for quite some time and I have found few other places that are even close to this quality of care for the clients and their family. My cousin came thru here recently and he has been so blessed to have been here, he is working the AA program, has a job, in sober living, doing service work! He is happy and sober- I have not seen him like this ever! I am truly grateful for BRC! If you are looking for help for yourself or a loved one and

It is up to the client to have an open mind or not or to listen and learn or not and either way one can feel and tell that brc does its absolute best to help clients in all aspects of life. Brc started me on my journey to my moment of clarity and i learned a LOT. I believe anyone who has attended benchmark would have to acknowledge they are hardcore about helping and believe in their approach and their true intentions are truly positive n loving. Others can only do so much until it's up to the individual to implement the knowledge. Respectfully and lovingly submitted, Asa Hatfield.

BRC is amazing. They are different from so many other programs because they care. Due to need, they have created additional programs such as Makana Path and Spearhead Lodge to address the deeper root causes of addiction. Also, the amount of follow-though care they provide their clients is unparalleled. The continuation of care from detox to residential and helping people segue back into their lives all while providing on-going support is just phenomenal. Thank you BRC! I always know that when I place someone there they are in the best of environments for true healing and I know your staff is in

Anyone got updates on the money scam that was going on? I mean how does a vet who works one day a week have a house in the Caribbean if something weird isn't going on?!? Oh and thank the lord they stopped letting the women go to his jiujitsu "lessons" because none of those women enjoyed having someone's junk rubbed all over them for an hour as a "group activity". The dirty secrets this place keeps....

The end of January I took my son who had only been here with us 3 years from an orphanage in Latvia to BRC. We were needing assistance in evaluation from childhood trauma as well as alcohol abuse and substance use. I felt that all that I spoke with were very kind and I was grateful to have found a place that also offered an extended aftercare program. However.....
19 days later they said he was involved in an altercation and could no longer stay there. So they took him to a facility in Austin that so happened to be closed and dropped him off February 13th in the notorious ice storm with no phone

There are not very many treatment centers that I think we deserve five stars. I have been referring to in helping to operate treatment center since 1983. I have placed dozens of individuals in BRC Recovery for only one reason, you can't argue with results. These people are dedicated, hard-working yet never forgetting to be loving and caring. I strongly recommend BRC Recovery.

Absolute horror. Like most rehabs the front office is top heavy with five senior executives with fat salaries. The workers that carry the load are in recovery themselves and while that's a good thing, you shouldn't advertise yourself as a facility that treats dual diagnosis without enough clinicians. They are Blue Book based and line a boot camp for Jesus. Our Jewish daughter was often told to "let Jesus in.." our daughter suffered from ptsd and three weeks in two women tried to kill themselves on the same day. One was successful. Our daughter was removed for a weekend to a

A negligent care center. I was there in 2013, in my first week I severely injured my back during a workout, they refused to let me see a doctor or acknowledge my injury for over 2 months. I had a severely herniated disc and 6 bulging discs. It took 2 surgeries and years of physical rehab to finally get my back to a point where I can walk, during my time there the staff said there was no one to drive me to a doctor and I could meditate the pain away, they won't let you leave, they won't give your money back, it's too far to walk away, so in the event of a severe injury you&apos

Having personally been to seven fairly reputable treatment centers then getting the chance to see BRC from the inside-out, BRC and its family of programs are hands down the gold standard. The biggest thing I can say about BRC is that their employees truly practice what they preach outside of work. They give residents the opportunity to have a genuine experience with the 12-Steps during their stay, which shows by the local recovery scene being flooded with strong alumnus from this program. BRC covers all the bases to ensure the best shot for recovery, from their time in treatment, working with families

I’m just realizing that I have never written a review for BRC. Our daughter went here over 5 years ago now and is still sober. She had been to other treatment centers before BRC and I am grateful for all of them. But BRC was the best. If you have a loved one who has a serious problem with addiction I highly recommend BRC. Their staff are very dedicated and know firsthand how to help addicts. Not only are they so good at helping the residents but they provide great services to the families. They answered all questions thoroughly, promptly, and in a friendly and caring manner. I also received regular

First and foremost BRC is the best and most intensive true 12-Step program you will find in the country, bar none. After two decades of alcohol abuse, my family could not have found a better place for a true Big Book recovery path. This place comes from the works of Mark Houston, who is now passed but I strongly recommend finding any tapes of him that you can...absolutely profound teachings whose sponsor heritage links him to the founder of AA.

I love love BRC. My life was an absolute disaster before BRC. Now, my life couldn't get much better. I've almost been sober for three years...but I'm not only sober, I'm happy, have a profession, will have a degree in March, have a great relationship with my folks, and have the best friends a guy could have.

Benchmark Recovery Center (BRC Recovery) (https://www.benchmarkcenter.com/) in Manor, Texas, (near Austin) helped our family immeasurably. When we found Benchmark, we liked it because it didn't feel clinical, like the centers we had dealt with a few years earlier. With those, we did not feel as though we were part of the program - they operated independently of us, which we believe made them less effective. Although I think an alcoholic or addict needs to be ready to do the work necessary for recovery, after seeing the transformation in our son's life during his time at BRC Recovery,

Benchmark Recovery Center was my fourth treatment center. When I arrived I thought I knew everything there was to know about recovery and the twelve steps. I was wrong. Benchmark offers a solution to addiction unlike any of my previous rehabs. I had no plan on even trying this way of life but I am confident I was taught everything I need to know. The entire staff are very active in recovery and you can be sure that anything they tell you to do they have done themselves.
