At The Arbor, our mission is to walk alongside individuals and families as they navigate the path to recovery, and know that they are not alone. Every program we offer is intentionally designed to help our clients navigate the obstacles in their life that impede long term sobriety, emotional stability, and freedom to truly live.

The Arbor system of care provides a safe sanctuary for those seeking freedom from the pain of addiction. Arbor Behavioral Healthcare offers a full continuum of care for addiction and mental health needs. We use a comprehensive, integrative approach designed to heal the mind, body and spirit. Our goal is to empower individuals and their families to live a life of recovery, emotional freedom, and positive growth.
Services
The Arbor Continuum of Care was created out of the owners' passion for effective substance use treatment. The Arbor is a privately held and owner operated company based in Austin, Texas. More than twenty years of research led The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) to issue the "Thirteen Principles of Effective Drug Addiction Treatment."
Most addiction recovery programs use a 12-step program as a key part of their curriculum. Why? Over the 80 years since Alcoholic Anonymous started and authored the 12-step concept, the effectiveness of the approach has been. There has been a good deal of attention given in recent years to substance abuse, largely due to the ongoing opioid crisis.
Requirements: Must have experience with substance-dependent and dual diagnosis clientele, group facilitating, integrated and mindfulness-based approaches to healing. 30-90 day residential treatment experience needed. Duties: Lead clinical therapy sessions; directly engage our clients with group & individual therapy sessions, as needed.
We understand; calling us may seem difficult, especially in a time of crisis. We honor the courage to seek out drug and alcohol rehab and make the call by making our admissions process simple and straightforward. Our compassionate and experienced team of professionals have assisted countless individuals to find the help they need.
We understand that insurance coverage may be a deciding factor in what treatment options you can consider. The best way to get this question answered correctly is to give us a call. We are happy to verify your benefits and explain the treatment options based on your policy's coverage. It's important to know that not all plans are the same, and most insurance authorization is based on medical need.

The Arbor not only saved my son’s life it saved mine. When I visited the Arbor, I was a broken mess. The counselor, Amy Alden and intake admin, Matt made my daughter-in-law and I feel warmth and even hope. It was a tremendous weight off of our shoulders just knowing that the Arbor staff was there to help my son and us as family members. I felt at peace even though leaving my son at the facility was difficult.
They offered continuing education for us as family members that was invaluable.
We just celebrated 2 years of sobriety. We are still feeling the love. And we are still getting the support

This is a great place for recovery. Wonderful 12 step program and structure. I really enjoyed the equine, gym and swimming pool. It is a beautiful place and very peaceful. I really felt like I could leave everything there. It was safe and secure. Bri, Sherri and Austin are some of my favorite staff members. I highly recommend. It changed my entire families life. The aftercare program is very balanced. I highly recommend.

The Arbor in my opinion is the finest there is. The staff truly cares about every client and the fellowship that I experienced has impacted my life in ways I never thought possible. It was the greatest gift I have ever been given and forever will be. Because of it, I have found my purpose and look forward to living a full life.

I went to The Arbor in 08/2020 and was there for 30 days. This was my first time in treatment and I'm glad this was the gateway to my recovery. The property is very open feild and quite peaceful. The men's house was great and they really focus on the 12 steps as well as fellowship driven. You are occupied with class during the week but get plenty of downtime in between to work on your step work as well as yourself and getting to know your housemates. I hughly recommend to anybody that is seeking help. I will be 1 year sober next month! Thanks Arbor!!!

Being in active addiction for over a decade, I came to believe that I was truly beyond hope. Arriving at the Arbor in the beginning of 2020, I saw that it was possible to not only live a life, but live a life with all the joy and happiness of someone not shackled by a terrible disease. That's how the Arbor saved my life. It gave the tools, knowledge and understanding that I needed to stay sober. The staff were there for me in ways I had never experienced from others. They care and it is proven by everyone who experiences their program.

I was very apprehensive to go to treatment for the first time. After many years of struggles in life I finally decided to ask for help. Upon arriving at The Arbor I was greeted with smiles, respect and compassion. The men's house community took me in like I was a family member. Due to the expertise of the staff at The Arbor, I can gratefully say I've achieved over a year of sobriety and have regained happiness in my life. The inpatient and outpatient treatment I received taught me about addiction and also taught me how to live an all around healthy life. Thank you for saving my life!

When it comes to sharing the experience I had with the Arbor I don’t know where to start. First and foremost the staff from top to bottom are absolutely amazing. Their positivity alongside with the fact that they actually care about the clients really sets the table for an experience that really changed my life. I was shown an easier way of thinking and living through my own hard work and also shown that I was worthy of so much more life has to offer. It doesn’t stop with in-treatment with the arbor. When I finished my 90 day in-patient treatment I furthered my aftercare with IOP and advocacy

The Arbor saved my husband's life. He was an alcoholic and addict in denial and I was an enabler. When he first entered treatment he resisted all the Arbor staff was doing to help him and he wanted to leave for the first month. But he knew in his heart this was his last chance, that if he left he would most likely drink himself to death. So with the staff supporting me and yes structuring his day, restoring discipline in his life, he learned to love himself again. He learned so much about what he needs to do for himself first so that he can be present for his family and take on daily challenges
