Board-certified plastic surgeon David B. Reath, MD is renowned for his surgical skills. Practicing in Knoxville, Tennessee since 1986, his personal approach with patients is what truly sets him apart. The majority of my plastic surgery practice here in Knoxville is body contouring surgery, which is changing the shape of my patient's bodies.
Inevitably this means dealing with fat. We all have it. We all need it. Some have less than they want; most of us have more than we want. Frequently we get questions. As I continue to practice plastic surgery, I look for ways to improve the operations I have been doing for years to achieve better results.

Dr. Reath established his practice of plastic surgery in Knoxville in 1986, almost three decades ago. Since that time much has changed in medicine and in plastic surgery. And, indeed, our practice has seen many changes and has evolved into one of the leading plastic surgery practices in East Tennessee.
We understand that your body and aesthetic goals are unique to you. If you are considering cosmetic plastic surgery in Knoxville, TN, Dr. David Reath and our entire staff will work with you to address your concerns. We look forward to delivering natural-looking results that make you look and feel your very best.
If you are like most women considering breast surgery, it's likely that you have been thinking about this for most of your adult life. As a teenager you may have spent hours anxiously obsessing over when your breasts would finally start to to develop. Or perhaps it was just the opposite. Maybe you started maturing before your friends and self-consciously wished your breasts would stop growing so fast.
Despite some Hollywood stereotypes, the majority of women we see in our Knoxville practice increase from one to two cup sizes to obtain the flattering figure they always wanted. Some come to us after they have had children and lost their breast size after breast-feeding. Others need to have a breast lift along with the enlargement.
How do I know if I should have my implants placed over or under the muscle? Good question. We go into great detail addressing this issue in our "Girlfriend's Guide to Breast Augmentation", but here's the abbreviated version. Choose the submuscular (under the muscle) placement if you have saline implants, a small amount of natural breast tissue or a strong family history of breast cancer.

I was hesitant to make a post, because I truly liked Dr. Reath. I had a breast lift and augmentation to correct sagging from nursing, in December of 2018. At my 6 month post-op, Dr. Reath looked at them, and informed me that my right implant had slipped out of the pocket and he would need to correct it, and while he was in there he wanted to improve the left one as well. I agreed, and was very thankful that he caught that something wasn’t right, as I had not. About a month after the second surgery, I noticed that the right implant had slipped out again, and he agreed that we needed to a third

I used to love this place. I still think Jill is the best injector in the area and the reception people are very nice. The problem is Botox pricing. Doing it by the area instead of by the unit? Fine. Charging for touch ups that used to be free? Not fine. Taking 3 weeks to get an appointment? Also, not fine. So guess I will be looking for a new place. Any suggestions?

I was denied even a consultation. I was given an excuse that he performs the procedure...just not for me. I attempted to seek a solid, explanation as to why just to be insulted. If a practice limits who they Service then that should be stated so on their website. Other cosmetic surgeons do this very same procedure yet Dr. Reath and his staff choose to discriminate. My attorney will be contacting them for an official statement before filing our complaint. It's time to treat everyone equal or admit your bigoted reasoning in a court of law. This injustice will not be tolerated nor left unaddressed

I thought I would counter the reviews posted about Dr. Reath. Debating the procedure outcome rather than semantics might be more productive.
I have had injections done by Jill and she really is great. She is informed, caring and one of the best injectors I've gone to in Knoxville. She's great with the cannula technique and not many are.
As for Dr. Reath, I have not had any procedures done with him but when I have encountered him in his office, he has been pleasant and approachable.
Perhaps you should thank him for not going through with a procedure he felt might be unsafe. Many other

Post script:
Dr. Reath - "your" response (via Lisa R.), is not acceptable. Based on the information printed in your own magazine and website, I was very much a "good candidate," otherwise, I might have consulted with a different plastic surgeon.
I believe the excuse you gave was that you 'disliked the medications' I'm on. Please recall that we were discussing Cool Sculpting, which is still a non-invasive procedure, is it not? Based on your condescending response here, it only proves my point: that you didn't even listen.
My feelings are not so delicate
