For years The Griddle was the go-to place for breakfast when traveling through Winnemucca. It was New Years Day and they were closed. We've hit Sid's the last several trips through and have been VERY pleased with the food and service. Don't miss the fresh-squeezed orange juice. Order the hash browns extra crispy and they're really great. The wife had the ham and bean (lentil) soup and tuna sandwich. Loved it. Being open on a holiday scores big points as well. Oh, we weren't there until after 1 p.m. You had to ask for the breakfast menu, but they'd still do it. Waitress was extremely pleasant, an

Big Mistake. Sid's looked like an old dinner with nice ambiance. But don't be fooled. I ordered the chops. They came out very thin, over cooked, and tough. Only ate half of one. The combo veggies were leftovers, reheated and burned. My wife ordered the chicken fried steak dinner. It was small, thin, over cooked, and burnt. Had to send it back. She ordered the fried fish basket instead which turned out to be three frozen fish sticks that were way over battered. The whole meal was really bad. Waitress was forgetful and slow. Took ten minutes just to get our check. It took an hour

Waitress was wonderful...
We ordered coconut cream pie. What we got was a factory-made mini pie with a factory-made pie crust and filled with a bland vanilla pudding with 10 pieces of coconut sprinkled throughout. It was covered with a dash of whip cream. Sorry, but the price charged warranted a better product.

This place is a little gem, but a bit old school. I guess what really matters is the food, and this place does it well. I usually order the battered mushrooms for an appetizer. They are the right amount of crunchy and great to dip in ranch! The ranch burger is my go to. Simple and tasty. Lately, I've ventured out and tried the California Grilled. Wow! Great sandwich with lots of flavor.

This is a very unassuming place that you might just drive right by. I'm glad I checked Yelp before we got there! All 5 of us loved our meals. Breakfast burrito (breakfast served all day), pancakes, chicken croissant sandwich, pasta salad - all delicious! And all of the workers were so friendly and accommodating. I wish we lived closer to come back! There is also a back room you could use for a party.

We always travel through Winnemucca and usually hit up one of the terrible fast food places. Today we decided to make a change and give our money to a local establishment. We were not disappointed in our decision and will continue to give Sid's our business every time now. They were super friendly, accommodating to our kids, and packed it to go for us so we could take our dog to the park and eat. The food was great and we have zero complaints. Thanks Sids for making our Winnemucca dining a way better experience. Our only downside is we didn't discover them earlier in our years of travel

The Crew at Sid's were charmingly welcoming and hospitable! The place was sparkling clean, the menu varied, and when the dishes we chose arrived they were flavorful and tasty, with attention to details such as children's fussy preferences! What more can a little family ask for? Loving attention to our 2 your boys, who said upon departure: "God had put this man on earth for a special reason" ! Thank you Mr. manager at Sid's... sadly we do not know your name...! God bless you!!!

This is a great little diner overall...just not my bag. Place was busy but scored a seat quick...service was great..food...average..and a bit pricey for the quality. Hashbrowns are the type that are crunchy as well as raw..gravy may have been out of a box?....and not much breading or seasoning on the chicken fried steak...it worked tho and worth checking out.

This was a great pitstop on our road trip to Boise. I'm a sucker for Hollandaise sauce and Sid's delivered. I had the croissant sandwich, which is an open faced sandwich with bacon, tomatoes (diced) avocado, the most perfect poached eggs and Hollandaise sauce. My husband had the eggs Benedict the English muffin was perfect and crispy and didn't get soggy and also had perfectly cooked poached eggs!
The coffee was delish as well. A return trip is a definite!!

This review is based on 3 evening meals. One had to be take-out and the other two were with the new 'rules.' Santa Rosa sandwich, great meat and cheese/mushroom ratio! Hamburger was up there with quality burgers found elsewhere. Tonight's California Griller was another well thought out sandwich. The avocado was a great addition and was very fresh. When I discovered they had tater tots in lieu of the potato salad (can't beat the wife's) or the fries, adds a great option. Saw the fried chicken on another table's plate and that's next. With the limited tables,

Passing through, truck full of hungry passengers, stopped for breakfast/lunch, and glad we did !!
Just what a local diner has always been: the menu had lots to offer, the server a Pro, the food was delicious, the prices were good then we were off with a truck full of happy passengers.
Added Sid's Restaurant to list for next trip.
